Back from Aldi, I didnt realise it was special offers Thursday, it was mad in there! Spent £34.14 so under my budget & I got LOADS of food.
I did see some plum & apple trees for £3.99, but DH poo pooed the idea as he said it will take atleast 10 years to actually get any benefitMtg May 2011 - £127,500/825610% CC - £2211/2211Argos Card 0% - £253.95/208.950 -

I updated this morning, but it doesnt seem to have updated...
Received £10 Tesco voucher from Valued Opinions only 10 days after ordering. Wasnt expecting this that quick, and already £3 towards my next one. This appears to be one of the quickest paying survey sites I have used, but they dont give me many surveys to complete. This will make shopping at Tescos cheap this week (we only normally spend £10-15 in Tescos - the rest at Aldi).
Mortgage statement recieved this morning for up to 31 Dec, only started to OP in September so not much impact yet. The interest is annoyingly stated as one figure, rather than monthly with my other mortgage, so is difficult to see how it is reducing, but I have worked out that the daily interst is £17.41 per day, hopefully that will reduce as I OP. I also noticed that the interest rate is 4.93% rather than 4.95%, I did wonder why my tracking spreadsheet didnt quite match the balance figures I have received over the phone. I have also added a daily interest column to my spreadsheet and it is now down to approx £17.31 per day.
Just got back from a walk into town centre to get some potatoes from the veg shop. Also signed up to the library and took out Alan Titchmarsh - the kitchen gardener. Its a massive book, but looks very user friendly. Going to put the kettle on after this update to have a good read & hope that the weather brightens up a bit so I can get out in the garden.
Now received the payment from my Ebay sale, so will post this out tomorrow now (not walking into town again!).Mtg May 2011 - £127,500/825610% CC - £2211/2211Argos Card 0% - £253.95/208.950 -

i check mine weekly ( addicted moi ...never)
last week i used 11 units of gas per day which works out at 123.3 kwh per day .... my electricity usually is 14 units per day , but can go up to 25 ( if i am using tumble dryer, excessive washing machine, doing alot of cooking etc ) but i have also had it as low as 11 units per day
we arnt home through the day so ours is basically night usage.... our house is always freezing ... the house tempreture usually sits at around 15degrees but i could honestly do with it a bit warmer...we live in a two bedroom detached bungalow with a down stairs half mezzanine kinda thing
hope that helps0 -

Thanks, I'm in an Edwardian semi, however, it does seem to keep the heat in quite well. Heating turns off at 11pm and nursery thermometer never gets below 19C even when it snowed!

Sold one ebay item "buy it now", so after fees & postage I'm up about £12. Posted the parcel today and put my cheque from conveyencer in the bank
Also popped into Tesco to get a top up of a few bits & had to get DD some socks as hers are all too small, only ended up spending £3 as I had that £10 valuedopinions voucher! Also saw some "grow your own" equipment, seeding trays 5 for about £1.50 and a 4 tier greenhouse (the plastic kind) for £15. Will speak to DH to discuss. Hes had a busy few weeks at work, hasnt had a day off in about 3 weeks, at least he can now see the results of his hard work when he looks at the balance of his business account
Aim this week to spend £35 in Aldi on food again, slashing that food budget
I've been working hard at surveys but not seeing much for my efforts, balances in my accounts are:
DooYoo - £7.25
Nectar - £14.91
Toluna - £5.75
Valued Opinons - £4.00 (but currently doing a £4 weekly survey, if I manage to keep it up, I'll be near to my next £10 voucher!)
Maximiles - £6.70
Superpoints - £3.03
Ipsos - £0.87 (keep getting screened out but atleast they pay you if you do get screened out)Mtg May 2011 - £127,500/825610% CC - £2211/2211Argos Card 0% - £253.95/208.950 -
Also, received letter from work today advising I've accrued 5 days holiday which will be paid out in cash when I return, which works out just under £800 gross. Hopefully that will come in March pay date, and I can make a bit OPMtg May 2011 - £127,500/825610% CC - £2211/2211Argos Card 0% - £253.95/208.950
