Nationwide account all set up and we have our cards and pins through. Just waiting for all dds to be transferred. Also opened a linked ISA paying 2.25% interest, which is one of the better rates on the market with instant access.

Had a naughty day yesterday and got a takeaway! Was too hot and tired to cook, so £10 down

One out of two tax returns done and dusted. Invoice in side to stick in postbox, have been avoiding going out today. Way too hot for me and even the few minutes in garden putting washing out made me in fits if sneezes :(

Beans on toast for dinner, cannot be bothered to cook

popped into library yesterday and picked up a couple of knitting/crochet books. Want to make a blanket but can't decide on colours. Really don't like the usual "baby wool" colours!

Wow has it really been 3 years! My last post I was pregnant with my now nearly 3 year old. We have had a busy few years, but trying to get this debt/mortgage free stuff going again, with the final dream to live in the countryside.

I am going to use this as some motivation to get going, my aims are:

    1 - Get £5000 in savings
2 - Pay off Zopa loan (used for car)
3 - Pay off credit card debt (0% deal)
    4 - Get Mortgage to under £100,000
5 - Sell BTL - pay parents back
    6 - Buy beautiful house in the country with a large garden/no neighbours/maybe a renovation/self build

all within 2 years? is this possible?!

    Current financial situation
Saving account - £1,500 (may need to dip unto as car is going into garage on Monday!)
    Zopa Loan - £4120
    Credit Card - £2754 (0% until March 2018)
Mortgage - £112,984 (just remortgaged on a 2 year fixed deal)

Income - both are self employed so income fluctuates, other half has just taken on another new big customer so it is going up, but also means he may need to find a bigger workshop...

Other Half - aim to withdraw £1000-1250 (this month is quite a bit more, but cannot guarantee)
Me (self employed bookkeeping/tax returns plus full time Mum) - regular income £150, then adhoc tax returns throughout the year. I do need to look for more regular income. Currently studying for AAT so I can sell service of accounting
Tax Credit/child benefits - £719 (currently, will possibly go down a lot as we will probably earn more than the £2500 extra income this year, will reassess in a few months and update HMRC with figures)
BTL - I take £150 from the account leaving some money in there to cover possible expenditure

Total = 2019 (taking the lower of the figures)

    Expenditure-
    Mortgage - 597.40
    Zopa Loan - 124
    Council tax - 132
    Water - 43
    Gas/Elec - 99
    Mobiles (both) - 37.48
    Internet/phone - 10
    Insuranes/car tax - 85.32
    Tv (now tv/netflix/tv licence) - 37.15
Diesel - 40 (both work from home!)
    AA - 6.50 (60 per year)
    Kids ISA - 10
    Credit card minimum - 27
Food - 400 (need to work on that!)
Other half - (booze and tobacco) - 60

    Total - 1708.85

Remaining - 310.15 plus any extra hubby or I make

    This month I have
    - Paid £50 extra on Zopa Loan
    - Put £824 into savings
    - Have about £745 work to invoice once completed
    - Spent loads on daughters birthday & new cd player :(

Well thats all for now, have to go out, but I will try and keep this up to date with to keep up my motivation.

    Bye for now

Haha my last post 3 years ago was going to pick up the crochet/knitting books, 3 years later... I have made millions of yarny items, sold loads of blankets and other stuff (it was easier to do that when little ones were small rather than books/tax as I could work and look after them at same time)

So quick update (while I should be getting on with some work), this week is not so rosy! £995 on the car, and something is still up with the steering. Which wasn't there when it went in! So he is going to get it apart again on Tuesday, the other half doesn't want me driving in it, especially with the kiddos, so stuck at home until then. Does mean no shopping and spending so hopefully ok. But hubbys good month of work has pretty much gone :(
