Hi Frugalfrog
Definitely look on OS board for meal planning and ways to cut your grocery bill.
I have cleared a flowerbed in preparation to start growing veggies this year, so I'll happily trade tips!
I've bought this book, which gives very clear advice for novices like me and you - hope that helps and Good Luck with your journey0 -

Thanks, I may pop down my local library on Monday to see if they have anything in. I think I've talked my Mum & Dad into helping me sort out the gardenMtg May 2011 - £127,500/825610% CC - £2211/2211Argos Card 0% - £253.95/208.950 -
Aim to raise income ....
When my little girl is having her afternoon nap going to spend 1-2 hours on either surveys, Dooyoo etc - Today I have spent an hour on adpoints (to get nectar points) & have earnt £2.50. Saving up the points earned to get Amazon vouchers for Birthday/Christmas presents.
This afternoon planning on making homemade clothes washing liquid from this site. Only going to make 2ltrs to try first, going to cost pennies to make!Mtg May 2011 - £127,500/825610% CC - £2211/2211Argos Card 0% - £253.95/208.950 -

Had a quite evening as DH went to bed early, decided to do some online making money. So far today I've done :
- Adpoints = maxed out for the month - 850 nectar points, worth about £4.25. This is the last of the trial, I hope they carry it on as it was a really easy low concentration way of earning a few pennies.
- Toluna surveys - not been on there for ages so there were LOADS of sponsored polls & quick surveys which earned me an instant 2175 point (40p) and did two surveys for 3700 points (69p)
- Dooyoo - caught up with return rates, cant be bothered now to write a review, too tired, will do one tomorrow.
So today I've earned £5.35 towards birthday/christmas presents.
I have also decided to supplement my part-time income by becoming a self-employed bookkeeper. I have been doing the bookkeeping & tax returns for DH business for a few years & did basic accounting in my degree, so looking at getting proper qualification & become ICB member, however, that will cost, but hopefully eventually I dream of becoming self-employed working from home & get to actually see my children grow up... As you can probably see I'm not too keen on going back to work after my maternity leaveMtg May 2011 - £127,500/825610% CC - £2211/2211Argos Card 0% - £253.95/208.950
