Also, new client DH did work for last week has turned out to be a great client!
two more jobs from him next week, he says hes got work for him lined up & wants my partner to do the work rather than the other business in our little town, as his work is far superior
YAY hopefully he can earn loads of money

Having a very good morning!
The heater we bought on the weekend for DH workshop is working brilliantly & he should be able to get work through quicker (he paints) in this cold weather! Hes been given two more jobs from this new client this week, so total of 4 jobs this week! (He has been doing 1-2 a week so this is GREAT!) Made him a bacon sandwich to celebrate!
Changed my direct debit for my mortgage to pay £800 per month starting Feb, which is an OP £46.51 every month without fail. At least if it is automatically taken I can forget about it!
Been looking at how much I have earned since around July last year on the survey/review sites, and my tally so far is:
- Dooyoo - £71.65
- Nectar points - £26.73
- Toluna - £49.85
- Valued opinions - £9.25
Total = £157.48 - a lot of this was spent on Christmas, so saving up now for DD birthday in June

Ok made up my laundry liquid, pretty simple really, however would have been easier if the water pressure hadnt dropped off the scale! Grrr last time this happened we lost our water for a day an a half!
I've not used Borax in my liquid as I'm not sure about this & couldnt get it in Tescos! I've costed the two litres and not including the Borax and cost of water/gas it has cost a whopping 9p for 2 litres!!!!So if I use half a cup in a load (125mls) I should get around 16 loads, thats 1/2p per load! I'm sure I have worked this out correctly but it does sound way to cheap!
I'll see how it works, especially on my washable nappies.Mtg May 2011 - £127,500/825610% CC - £2211/2211Argos Card 0% - £253.95/208.950 -
Just catching up after you posted on my diary. In your SOA I thought your Child Benefit was wrong but you've mentionned the correct amount further down. Are you claiming tax credits? You will be entitled so might be worth checking.
I have toyed with the idea of growing veg etc but I couldn't even get tomatoes to ripen last year! My garden is quite shady so I don't know if this is part of the problem. The book Macgirl suggested looks good. If you pop over to Tilly's thread she is quite greenfingered too.
Good luck with your survey sites etc, can you refer people to adpoints? If so I could sign up through you if you want.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

I've actually added my child benefit in with my wage, as I calcd my income less train fare etc plus child benefit (sorry bit confusing its only an estimate as I'm not actually back at work & not 100% sure what I will be earning), but I have to take off the tax credit bit, have you seen the change for April 2012 budget, aparently the max your household can earn & get child tax credit will be £26,000 if you dont pay childcare... ConDem hitting middle England again! http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/taxcreditsbudget/index.htm
Adpoints was invite only from Nectar, it is just in testing at the moment & there was a certain amount of people allowed, I luckily was one of the first on there. If the site carries on & I'm allowed to send invites I will let you know. Trial ends 23 feb so may see something next month. I hope it carries on as its such an easy way to earn money!
At the moment I'm watching videos on Maximiles for very little reward, but hohum theres is nothing on TV!Mtg May 2011 - £127,500/825610% CC - £2211/2211Argos Card 0% - £253.95/208.950 -
Just got back from my free NHS dental treatment thanks to my Maternity benefit NHS card. No spending there
Laundry mixture seems to work well, done a load of dark clothes and nappies and both have come out clean, there is no smell to the washing as such, was expecting a soapy smell, but its fine. You can add essential oils to the wash but I've read they can damage the fabric fibres so not too sure as our clothes have to last us a long time. I normally stick the nappies in the tumble dryer for an hour or so to soften them up (we live in a very hard water area), but they seem to be softer than normal with this mixture. So that should save even more money!
Toad in the hole for dinner - costed at under £1 for the whole meal (50p each!) - cheap yummy dinner.
Set up a standing order to DD Junior ISA today, only £5 per month at the moment, but will raise that later.Mtg May 2011 - £127,500/825610% CC - £2211/2211Argos Card 0% - £253.95/208.950 -
Hmm I remember why I stopped doing surveys for a while... they are sooooo frustrating! It may also be that the local anaesthetic has gone off my tooth and I'm in pain
dentist said they were very near the nerve so may hurt for a couple of days... at least DH as just returned with some supplies of ibruprofen for me!
Done a few surveys, watched a few videos and clicked on a few things, no idea what this was worth, but think I deserve a nice relaxing bathMtg May 2011 - £127,500/825610% CC - £2211/2211Argos Card 0% - £253.95/208.950 -

Thats ok, it is a bit hidden! I cant believe how much detergent costs! I'm always cringe when we have to buy some & now with little DD we are washing twice as much as before. This liquid washing stuff seems to be doing the job, however, I have heard soap flakes can clog up your machine so to put some white vinegar in occasionally (it also doubles up as a fabric softener).
Currently investigating more homemade recipes, other biggest shopping bill are for shampoos & conditioners ... google search timeMtg May 2011 - £127,500/825610% CC - £2211/2211Argos Card 0% - £253.95/208.950
