or at least that little navigating thread Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > MoneySaving & The Site > Site Feedback > Forum Update (Page 12) should come down
meher I have no idea what you are talking about.
I'm not sure what you mean with the bit in the quote? What do you mean it should come down?
Sorry, it might be obvious and I'm having a dense moment. All I know is that I go up to the red 'Insurance' tab (for example)...I hover there for a split second and then the info box opens up.
All in perfect time imo.Herman - MP for all!0 -
sorry jo, my mistake, I meant to suggest that this navigating tag to come down (I've marked it in orange on the left hand side)0

It would still be hidden there too so not sure how that would help
why can't people just think for themselves and click to find what they want
or why can't it flip up
I think the problem is that it is all too big. It should've been of a manageable size - small, neat, tidy and compact.0 -

Ah, I get it now, you mean it would be better actually re-sited futher down. I thought you meant it should 'come down' like a drop down type of affair.....i.e. moves.
Not being able to see that when the info boxes pop open, doesn't bother me in the least. If I'm looking for info on the coloured tabs above , then I wont be looking at the board navigation tag. So no need for it to be always visible.Herman - MP for all!0 -
that's what I've been trying to say jo, even my mouse has mind of its own, so why not people really think for themselves and HIT
the bright rainbow colored buttons and go surfing
by the way, do our pressing issues have any audience from the forum team or are we speaking amongst ourselves, not that speaking to myself is new to me0 -
but at least our mouse doesn't invade that space, so there won't be the likelihood of accidently hitting on the subheaders when you don't mean to
I would also argue that those dropdowns don't even NEED to be here on the forum, if you want main site content you go to the main site. That dropdown section would be FAR better utilised to make sense of the massive and difficult to navigate forum. Imagine how much simpler the forum would be, especially for new members (one of the reasons Martin gave for the changes) if all the forum sections and sub sections were broken down in those dropdowns instead of what is currently there.0 -
Menus covering wasn't too much of a problem but it is becoming bigger - they need to edit it and keep it succinct.
I don't mind the subheaders though because I've been on this site for a fairly long time but it is only since they re-designed the forum with this new look with bookmarkers kind of subheaders, that I acaually even knew that the main site was so resourceful. I used to think that the main site = email tips archive and that was all to itbut then at the time, this forum kind of networking was a rather new thing.

I think we've been chatting amongst ourselves since it became apparent pages ago that the majority preferred the old stretchy version.Herman - MP for all!0
