I am not seeing any of the problems that you guys are complaining about but can I ask?

Am I the only person that has this problem with the new header?

It would be very helpful to know which operating systems and browsers this is affecting. So that I can replicate the problem and try to fix it. Thanks :).

Sure, titles shouldn't be so long. May be that should be set to 30 characters including space.

If the new design didn't squash the thread title area up to such an extent, then thread title length wouldn't be an issue.

It's sometimes a struggle with the length they are now, so shortening further probably isn't the answer. Especially as the problem is caused by the current changes, rather than any intrinsic problem with title length.

It doesnt matter which option I choose, the head is still bigger than the body so that I need to scroll to access the drop down menu and go button, the 'search the' box overlaps the forum drop down arrow and the drop down menu for the forum is still jumbled up.

I am not getting the squashed up symptoms that others are reporting.

My screen settings are at 1024 by 768, I am on XP pro using ie8

Too much white either side hurting my eyes, so switched back to the stretchy version.

I like the new look and don't particularly mind the narrower forum, but could the white space down the sides be altered to something less glaring? Something in the same pale blue/grey palette as the forum background would make the whole page look more 'filled' and make it easier on the eye.

Thank you for all the positive changes.

The new look with all the vacant space either side wouldn`t be for selling advertising would it. ;)

do you get the search boxes in the right place and does the mast head stick out past the rest of the page?

Is anyone else having any other problems? When I click on buttons, I get a new page opening each time and I used to have a "read unread posts" button which I can't find now.
