  • Hello,

Just a quick note to those of you who have seen their green tick (entered) icons vanished from the forum display page (where you see the threads). Please can you let me know what operating system and browser you are using. So that I can try and replicate the problem. Thank you.

hang on my signature doesn't fit in one line anymore :o

I have good eye sight but I am struggling to read your signature without having to be close up to the screen. Is the text supposed to be that small?

It will do if it was designed for smaller screens - it looks brilliant on my phone as well.

But I'm guessing quite a few users have bigger screens - the money we're all saving here has enabled us to big huge computer :rotfl: and it does look itty bitty in the middle of the screen compared to before :)

I can imagine how it will look on a bigger screen but I prefer my laptop to the PC now so the fix is good for me :)

You can't please everyone eh ;)

The fixed width is set at standard web dimensions - you'll find almost all big editorial sites and many forum / social networking sites are fixed width too.

This isn't an MSE on its own - actually we've been in the minority a long time.

I accept some won't like it. I would ask you to try it. Yet if you hate it choose the stretchy option. We can't say fairer than allowing you to choose.

The problem you've got though is if you have a 40 post per page setting, after 20 odd or so you don't see any of the tools/news on the right hand side so you've just got wasted space.

The masthead is an improvement on the last one which was horrid, but I'm still not sure I like it. Sorry. :o

Well at least it's do-able now I have changed it to stretchy.

I still have the "guff" down the right hand side though. I use Adblock, but I can't seem to hid it. I'm using Chrome.

Since the change every time I submit a new thread on the main comp board it causes Internet Explorer to close down on my computer, is anybody else having same problem.

I like stretchy, as I am old and need glasses, but will give it a day or so.
