Utterly utterly dreadful.
www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/ stretchy
www.legalbeagles.info/forums/ stretchy
ubuntuforums.org stretchy
forums.digitalspy.co.uk stretchy
www.thestudentroom.co.uk stretchy
In fact, if you look at the top 10-20 vBulletin based forums, they nearly all use a template that stretches the board to full screen width.
Reason being?
vBulletin looks utterly dreadful at such a small fixed width.
OK. May work with the main site. For the forum? No.
Not in it's present form anyway.
Then you add in the sidebar on the right, which was just about OK with the old layout. With the new it takes the already inadequate space and squashes it down so that it's hard to see what on earth is going on.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Yes but that includes the side bar on the right.
Remove that and at least the posts get the full width. A forum is nothing without its posters.0 -
Fixed width is awful. Far too much wasted space each side on a 1280x1024 monitor.0

LOL Fermi I love that you go to Digital spy lol.
On a serious note some of the fonts look very condensed hard to read.0 -

tried it...... 10 mins was enough, very pleased that original post stated how to get the old "stretchy" pages back! Thank you for the choice though!Ple'ma an bysva?

OK Im going to leave before I get quite frustrated with the whole things.
There is a stretchy option. We havent changed the forum colours at all (barring the masthead) so its rather strange that some are saying they don't like the stretchy colours?
Any way the message of the people who came to discuss is plain. Yet we think its the right move, and I have to make that decision. However the option is there to change back for anyone who wants.

I am averaging four posts per page on fixed I have half a page of masthead and toolbars and can read the first line of the first post before having to scroll down. Too bright, too much space either side. I'm sorry but fixed is not for me.0
