Nothing odd, just typical of the government and anyone working for them. Where genuine people want to help, there are those who don't want to make it easier for others to live happier. I'd have agreed if I was giving fraudulent info etc, but to have a pop at me (in a Private Message) for giving honest advice, just shows how corrupt some people working for the gov can be in my book. Have they no consience? Apparently I'm not allowed to give advice of such forums as this to due an "Electronic Media Policy", which wasn't around in my day. Therefore I'm waiting for confirmation from an ex colleague to see if I'm still covered by that.
Perhaps the same happened to the other guy too??
Why can't people mind their own?? You've only got to ring you local office, ask for someone with experience and they'll tell you exactly the same if not more than I can.
Real1314, I've answered your PM now!
Sorry Peeps

I may be opening some flood gates, but I'm happy to answer queries you may have with regards to Incapacity Benefit. Please note though, I can't answer questions (without research) on Income Support but will do my best to be helpful and factual. You must understand that I have an obligation to be loyal and honest, and therefore will not put myself in any fraudulent situation. I will do my best to answer any IB related questions and not individual cases. Any questions I can answer to help you will not reflect my personal opinion, but those of the DWP, whilst upholding anominity.
Fire away, but please don't shoot the messenger
thanks

HI FROSTY BOX I HOPE YOU CAN HELP:o0

Frosty Box,
When did I have a "pop" at you? Why are you saying you've been "screwed over"? Why are you making comments like "just typical of the government and anyone working for them" and "just shows how corrupt some people working for the gov can be"?
I find your comments offensive and rude. My PM to you in no way warranted that sort of response. It was meant as a piece of friendly advice. You seem to have taken it as something else and have responded with a character assasination of me, despite the fact that you do not know me.
I would like an apology and for you to re-edit your post to remove the comments.
Incidentally, if the EMP wasn;t around in your day, then you're at least 5 years out of date, and furthermore, although people can ring up and get the official line, they can actually quote it as that.
Regards

Real 1314, I don't know why you're feeling paranoid? I've not mentioned you or yours on this board!?? You mentioned once that you'd sent me a PM, but so many others had also!! you were the only one to publically admit it. I have not been detromentle in anyway what so ever. Get a grip! You will not get an appology from me, cause why would you flatter yourself that I was talking about you in the first place? For Gods sake, pick your toys and rattles up. Some of us have more important issues to deal with - mine are called life

Its all very people "the government" wanting people to ring their organisations up for the information required but I got a swifter answer to my query than we had got in days of being pushed from one department to another with no-one actually answering the question.
I can only say thank you once again am sorry that some numpty has spoiled it for everyone.0
