Right money checks done - £0.75 for the rest of the month caused mild palpitations  until I realised this was the bank account and I have £40 in my purse that I took out in cash PHEW! :rotfl:
Clearly having a blonde moment there :o

    Jobs to do :
Check bank tomorrow and make sure money is in from agents
If no then call them and if no answer call police
Extract invoices from cleaners and other workmen so I can give copies to former tenant with the monies to be deducted from her deposit and transfer the balance to her account.
Sort out washing and ironing so this is done and packing for away weekend
Email vet re dog and changing dog food

(They chased me last night despite the fact I returned to them a load of their photos and so on and a letter saying when the work was completed and invoices were in I would provide them with copies. Honestly you try and be a decent landlord and tenants screw you over. I reckon I should just put I am keeping the lot and wait for her to shout about it)

Hope to get all above done before I go away with DH for long weekend so can relax and not think about stuff. :T

HA! Money in my account, deposit protected, cannot get the stupid piece of paper to print (as yet) but that could be computer error (or operator :D)

So no need to phone police but still need information about their VAT number or it will be call to HMRC to get the VAT back.

Now for insurance investigation for DH car (oh this is going to be painful it's modified so very few insurers and also very expensive ) and to get the invoices from the suppliers (chased already) then can tick all things of list before tomorrow.

    Morning missrir

Great news about getting the money in your account, that's a weight off your mind.

What happened to that delegating you were so good at? Get DH to help in the insurance investigation, it is his car!!

Erm, the trouble is his quote was nearly a thousand pounds! So have taken that over and managed to get for £700. He seems to be delegating to me on the finance side so hope this will mean I can control the money a bit better.

Right, well former tenant deposit calculations done double checked and she has been notified. Confidently predict nasty phone calls as a result when she realises there will be less than £10 coming back to her! Well she should not break stuff, ruin carpets and curtains. Have sent her copies of all receipts so she can see the calculations and these are NOT the most expensive options. Plus I sent her a load of other receipts to show the work I have accepted as wear and tear. If she chooses to seek advice hopefully they will say "you don't have a case". We shall see
Other news, new tenant has brains and has sorted an apparent leak, better than the last one and demonstrates she knows how to use a phone and a free service!
Paid one of the big bills from sorting house, have all the stuff on the card to pay this month (ARGH!) and no money and DH has admitted he is OD this month (silly boy why didn't he say?) but OT payments will be in this month and he has more OT this week too so every one please cross your fingers, paws, hooves and wings.

Welcome back! did you have a good holiday?

Thank goodness the new tenant is sensible, you didn't need another troublesome one.

Hooves and paws crossed, sorry no wings yet. Although I might apply for a job as an angel...

No fins here either! It would be too much for the Bear and he'd eat anything with a fin!

How is the dog? Did you take him away with you?

Doglet was being looked after my in-laws so he had a lovely weekend at home supervising them! He is currently obsessed by "Dog TV channel Fish" we have installed (aka the fish tank and its inhabitants). This was a present for our wedding so taken us a fair few months to sort, but it is up and running and we seem to be able to NOT kill fish which is a good idea.

Friend arrive unexpectedly last night as she was working in the area. Very nice to see her and a good opportunity for a chat and catch up without the DHs! Managed to consume a bottle of wine as a consequence I have a bit of a slow head today.

Of course because of this I have an inbox which is beyond belief, the world went mad from about 6am onwards and I am trying to summon up the enthusiasm to read through the lot and pick out the pertinent bits ( there won't be a lot I get the distinct impression it is pontification and making mountains out of molehills but likely to be one gem in the whole lot)
So time for tea and then a big reading session.

Sorted the car insurance out, and managed to do a massive amount of washing. I need to get the whole of the wardrobe out of the loft and see what I have a clothes wise for the summer. Also have to get a couple of pairs of shoes to the menders so I think this weekend will be a busy one. But productive - and I intend to attack the lawn - de-moss it, aerate it and feed it, give it a cut (cannot believe I will be cutting the grass in March!) and generally make it smart.
