It would be nice if it was nice for the long weekend though! DS is off for a long weekend cub camp so won't be back until Monday afternoon  he'll be fine, I'm worried about me
. Hoping to have a BBQ out the front of our houses one day over the weekend. We'll shift some cars around to make some space and dig out picnic tables. Should be nice.
I now have a lovely slate path down the side of the house. Unfortunately, we did it Monday evening and whilst DH and I were there all dirty and sweaty, with bins all chucked around making the front look like a dump, the google street view car drove past  so our house is going to look gorgeous on the pictures!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

Tomato babies lol...just about all our veg is rising from the earth and iris is on bird watch bless her...she sits at dining room table and bangs on window when they appear..:D..she did get told off by me this morning though..her dad has a tendency to use the odd bad word in front of them(going to wash his mouth out one day)..anyway she repeated it as she banged on the window...and unfortunately for her i was stood behind her...:D..so she had to go sit on sofa for 5 minutes and her dad got told off by me...fern thought it was hilarious to see her dad get told off by me..;)..nevermind..it was only a mild one but i still don't like to hear it from littlies so common..o i sound snobby now but i'm not..its horrid to hear from a sweet little thing...
Kaz..a bbq how lovely..we are having a little one in our garden with dd's invited and a friend from over the road..just hope weather holds out for it..a cub scout camping trip how sweet..is your girls arm ok now?
Anyway..thank you all for the job congrats..hubby is very happy..his hard work has paid off..means things won't be so tight around here but still got to be frugal as the cost of food is rocketing all over the place:eek:...lets face it its not just food is it.....just about everything is and its ridiculous...
It has been lovely here today but clouded over now ..fingers crossed for a storm..need some rain..and some cooler nights..
My lovely neighbour came over today and gave me 2 more rabbits and a bag of carrots..so rabbits are in freezer and carrots are now soup..lovely man..i gave him some marigold plants and a pot of blue lobelia..to say thanks...
My patchwork quilts are taking shape..they are all sewn up and i just need to find some cheap filling and bias binding..might look on ebay for binding and pop to our local fabric place and price up just how much its going to cost me..or do you think i should just line them and use them as coverlets for bottoms of the beds...not sure..any ideas ladies..
My dd heather who has 4 wks to go til she delivers my newest grand-daughter went to the MW today only to be told baby is fully engaged and very low..so she is panicking now:rotfl:too late:cool:..
I currently have a barbie world spread out over my living room and dining room with a barbie bathroom set up on the kitchen floor...its all from my older girls..its caused trouble actually...my friend offered to buy the lot off me for £50..i told her no the tots love playing with it..anyway turns out its classed as vintage barbie and sindy..she was going to flog on e*ay...probably make a fortune..i looked into it myself but i just can't do that..they love playing with it...it all works even the walking horses and carriage still work..so will keep it a while yet:D besides i like playing with too:o:rotfl:keeps us all quiet..
Hope that your all ok

KAZ- bad timing, not by you but by the google street car with the camera - just remember its not where you start its where you finish, anyway no one will recognise you now you're clean again. Infamy, Infamy they've all got it Infamy!!!!!!!!! FTM - glad to hear Fern is well on the way to recovery, hope all goes smoothly for your Daughter and the new baby. Lucky you more rabbit, envy felt in the far south! You don't sound snobby at all, just the good and caring Mum that you are. Have a good weekend wether it rains or not - have just had the first Strawberries of the year, mmmmmmm. Have finished off a row of radishes in the poly and DH has planted another set of lettuces in thier place and another picking of peas ready for tomorrow, I love the Polytunnel. We have spent the afternoon planting out all the home grown bedding plants in the front and back gardens so hoping for a shower to bed them in. Cheers Lyn x.0

I bet martin lewis is walking around with a smile on his face, well 87 million smiles anyway. I don`t want to be a member of moneysupermarket so I have unsubscribed from the weekly e mail and I am looking around as well0

Kittie please post links to anywhere you think of going - there's a lot of us would be sad to see you go.
For myself I don't blame Martin. He has done a lot of good and saved many people from utter despair. I can see that MSE has got so big it would swallow up all his time and stop him doing anything else and I think he has done his best to negotiate a good result.
But when it comes down to it, a lot of the help that people get from this site is mutual self help from all the posters and there is no reason why that should changeIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -
I agree, I tend to think well done to Martin and a big thank you to him for setting up MSE even though it's been the kind users on the forum who have really helped me these last few years.
It does leave me feeling sad and I feel it's not right for MSE but it's done. I'm staying around because of the user help but should there be any 'pushing' of any service at any time I will begin to stop using the forums. It's a case of wait and see for me.
I would like to know of any OS/self self-sufficient/frugal etc foums and sites that are out there too0 -
Well the forums might stay as they are.0

Well the forums might stay as they are.
I think so Mar. I feel it's the forum that has made MSE so popular. I never go on the main site so as long as any 'bumf' stays there I don't really care who owns what or who is making money.. as long as the forum is here as normal.
Does that make me shallow and uncaring? Maybe I should care but as long as I have my social group and support and learning more how to make ends meet then selfishly it's a bit of a case of letting my principles go0 -
I`m exploring one, I googled

I see june is turning out just as WA said with volatile swings in jet stream. Disappointing and difficult at both extremes of temperature. Stove on this morning but fans kept at the ready too0 -
Kittie, they're saying on the weather forum that somebody is talking about the worst weather in Europe is to be in the UK this winter coming. Have you heard anything about that?0
