Hello all,
Darling Mum is asleep and has been for most of the day, her brothers have been as we suggested it would be a good idea.
Yesterday was awful, she had had enough and was struggling, the aim now is just to keep her pain free and comfortable so that means mostly being asleep. We did have some time just the three of us, we told her how loved she is, how she has been simply the best Mum and how blessed we have been, we also told her that it's ok to let go now. Since then she has thankfully seemed more at peace and that is the overriding feeling in her room, of love and peace.
As always your kind words and support is cherished and appreciated x

Lainey, everything sounds as though it is all s it should be. It is hard for you but your Mum is at peace and the room is filled with love, what more could you wish for.

Lainey my DD said that to Mum, she told her it was alright for her to go, and she did. I hope she will just drift away, you have all been so good to Mum, but there again she deserves it.

LAINEY the time for words is over love, all I can do is try to wrap you and mum in love and caring and perhaps just make that burden you carry fractionally lighter for a few seconds. This is the hardest part of loving anyone or anything and I know we all understand how you're feeling because we've been there ourselves. You do gradually become accustomed love, healing comes in time but our care for and about you will be with you in the time it takes to happen, bless you, Lyn xxx.

Hi popping in having been in Narnia for two days , by it's chilly oop north .
Hoping Fuds , SM AOT are warm and cosy . Also not knowing who got the bitterly cold , gale force , icy and snowy weather I hope you're all warm too . I've been envying Hoglet and her warmth .

Internet dropped out on Wednesday evening and has been barely there since . The gale force winds have dropped to the normal brisk so hopefully normal service has resumed .

Thanks Pollanna. I'm doing ok. Got up early this morning for planned activities, looked out of window at snow covered view and went back to bed til later. I don't trust myself not to fall on that. You can tell I'm not brave!!
The snow has all gone now but is still cold. Hope gale force winds stay away for you.

The snow has turned to ice here. Thank goodness we don't have to walk to school in the morning.

Doing alright although moody. Plodding on with my quilt. It's turning into a labour of love that's for sure.

We went to see our house today. It's smaller than I remember but it'll be fine. The inglenook is plasterboard around the original fire opening so getting a burner to fit shouldn't be a problem. More work than I had hoped but never mind. Once done it's done.

The solicitor is going through the searches on Tuesday then sending us paperwork by the end of next week. Then she said it's a case of signing contracts and arranging a completion date. Nearly there.

I'm day two eating very well. I have to admit that I am really wanting sugar and hate the hold it has over me. I think that stubborness and dislike not having me control myself is what is pushing me and not so much the weight loss but that doesn't really matter.

Everyone stay warm and yes, AOT and others stay in! I slipped today and did the whole arm flapping to steady myself and I hear youngest chirp up 'Mam you do realise you've just smacked me in the face don't you?!' ooops.
