  • Thank you Elona, that means so much to me.

As I say I am just relieved, and very grateful to the hospital, I have had wonderful care right from diagnosis.

I know your DDs are looking after you, and if your DH is looking down he would be so proud of you all

    Much love

SM - I am so sorry to hear of your friend's passing but I so well understand the feeling of relief for her that her suffering has ended. Sending love and strength as you preapre to celebrate her life, and a home baked tea sounds perfect.

Have a good trip to London, you certainly deserve the break and I do hope the weather is kind to you.

Daikon makes a nice dipping sauce if grated and mixed with soy, rice wine vinegar and that sort of thing. Adds a freshness.

Candlelight - what great news and how relived you must be. All the very best for your continued health.

  • Hoglet thank you so much. Yes as I said I am relieved and so grateful, but not complacent. I hadn't seen this Oncologist before, but he was lovely and told me I can stop taking Tamoxifen when I have seen the surgeon in January. Although it is a wonderful drug, it has possible side effects, as most drugs do, and that will be something else I won't have to worry about

Much love to you and the cats

  • Candlelight that really is wonderful news. I'm so happy for you and your family, what an overwhelming relief it must be.

    Much love

Evening everyone, hope you are all keeping well.

SM, sorry to hear your news but it sounds like your friend's passing was as peaceful as possible x

    Candlelight, wonderful news x

Work has been busy, we have the first work being done starting tomorrow. Have (barely) started decorating the utility room. So much to do, we'll never get bored! Really struggling to find reliable contractors, our roofers pulled out at the last minute and with not being here much it is difficult to arrange to get quotes. Still, it will be worth it in the end!
  • Afternoon all, up with Nell and they are out in the garden painting sheds and garden furniture with wood preservative. I'm tea lady and admiring the handywork duties when summoned, can think of worse ways to spend a Sunday afternoon. Fuddle is back, posted on a couple of threads today and sounding happy and back to her usual chirpy little self. We had such a lovely day with Zebra et al yesterday, I walked to meet them as they were on their way back from the park when we arrived and he recognised me bless him, and I got 'Hiya' 'Hiya' Hiya' and huge smiles from him in his buggy all the way home and as soon as he was out of the buggy I got run to and two little arms up to be picked up for cuddles, doesn't get any better than that does it?

Home tomorrow morning and back to the plots and hothouses, freezers are already groaning and I'm running out of shelf space in the store room, never mind I'll preserve what I can and rehome the rest, Lyn xxx.
