Hoglet it looks as though you tried to post last night, but the gremlins seem to be in the thread:eek:
Better luck tonight, or morning to you;)
Much love

It has suddenly appeared, apologies

Hi everyone,
Candlelight - I was under the same impression! It showed in the main page that I had posted but I couldn't see it. I hoped it would just sort itself out and it appears to have so goods news all round :-)
Rugby last night was excellent, we won and I can't say it was a forgone conclusion at all so great to get the win. Welcomed our newest member of the team and my cousin's little lad got a photo with him and his jersey signed. I might have got a photo too.... ;-)
Nothing got orgnaised for our visitors last night at all, but I did manage to remember to wash the duvet cover. I'd hoped to be able to give them a summer duvet which I have loads of clean and pressed linen for, but no, the weather is conspiring against us so the slightly smaller winter duvet is required. A quick blitz tonight and then an early night as they land at 4am tomorrow.
Beans getting utterly decimated by slugs. We have beer traps but with the cats we can't put pellets down. The beer traps are full of slugs and snails but they are obviously having a good old munch on their way to the beer... Is copper tape the solution does anyone know?
DH has agreeed that we will have another clothes purge. There is a mountian of stuff from before we moved which we are just never ever going to wear. I've looked at turning someone of the sentimental t-shirts into t-shirt quilts but I think that would use up just a tiny fraction of them. I need to start him on a book purge too - the excess are all stuffed into the garage loft (fortuantely it is dry up there) but they are obviously never going to be looked at up there. I hate clutter but we both seem to atrrract 'stuff' and we really don't need any of it!
That is definitely enough rambling from me - love to you all

Hi Hoglet,
The weather is very changeable here as well. We had a dreadful thunderstorm this afternoon, poor Flora was not impressed by it.
I have a dreadful cold at the moment, and with that my asthma kicks in, so I am coughing and spluttering all over the place. Have increased my inhalers as well so hopefully it will start to settle down.
I don't know whether you had heard but the Wasps Rugby team are moving to the Ricoh Arena here in Coventry, I understand their first match will be in December. Needless to say, on the news tonight, some fans are not in favour, obviously, because it will mean quite a bit of travelling.
Hope you have a lovely time with your visitors and that the weather stays fine for you.
Much love

Hi Candlelight,
Sorry to hear you are under the weather. I hope youre able to wrap up warm and get on top if it. Colds just really zap it out of you don't they?
Funny how cats hate thunderstorms - poor Flora, I bet she wasn't happy at all. Alf has been out of sorts since the big storm on Monday so he must have been really scared by it. He has calmed down a bit and we are keeping the toilet paper unshredded by closing all the bathroom doors. Needless to say they were all unimpressed by our absence last night, one came and stuck her claws in my ear at 1am just to make sure I understood she'd been neglected...
No I didn't know that about the Wasps - that's very interesting, and yes I bet there are some very disgruntled fans. I know the Ricoh Arena though as DH's parents live nearby, and it is a nice stadium.
We have rain forecast for the next 3 days - NZ is really turning on the charm for our visitors!
Hope you feel better very soon
love

I passed my first exam - big surprise as I expected that I had either failed or scraped through but I did quite well!

Well done Kate, onwards and upwards

Candlelight and Hoglet, there has often been much derision that of the four "London" teams, one played in Watford, one in Reading and one in High Wycombe. That's one less come December...
The four, not including London Welsh!0 -
Well done Kate brilliant stuff, good luck with the rest of them, Lyn xxx0

FTM hope it's all going well for Fiona and that you're all managing the juggling needed when helping out with two families at once. Thinking of you all, Lyn xxx.0
