The one I took stuff to wasn't an RSPCA one just a little local charity.
Probably something to do with H&S, drives you crazy sometimes doesn't it?
Today is what we jokingly call my day off :rotfl: As you can imagine I have a list of things to do as long as my arm that I will never get through. Playing on the internet is not on the list.I am also going to my first zumba class tonight. I am the girl who was not allowed to join in the scottish dancing class at school, I had to sit and watch as I was just too unco-ordinated to be allowed to fling my limbs around to music. Age has not improved things so should I fail to reappear you will know that the whole experience was so humiliating that I have been forced to move town and change my identity to avoid reprisals.
Have a good day everyone and try to find time to enjoy this welcome interval of mild weather before it gets cold again. "Take dog for long walk" is on my list and will happen whatever else doesn't0 -
No it wasn't a shop I took the duvets to, it was the actually centre where they keep some animals. I had to go along with the stuff because they never answer the phone there. Story of our lives for most of this town actually.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0

Sorry you've been feeling down Ftm. Have a little cuddle from me ((((ftm)))). Your decorating achievements sound lovely though. Well done.
My littlies have been outside playing with their friends for most of the day, it's been dry and sunny which is lovely for them to get out in. They'll be starving later!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Well done on the decluttering and decorating FTM. Hope that's lifted your spirits.
What scone recipe did you use? Mine usually look a bit collapsed (like meself actually).
Went into a charity shop (or three) today and followed a lady buying loads of stuff - and all different sizes.
They'll be on eBay then!
A bit annoying when you're looking for stuff to actually wear though.Normal people worry me.0 -
Off to outlet on the bus tomorrow after deciding I need more wireless bras and have spotted a triumph store. Doreen aren`t glamorous but are so comfy, I get so fed up with bra wires poking me all day. Sm, have you tried the costco frozen salmon fillets? They are gorgeous and so convenient
Snort, I read this as using the salmon fillets *in* the bra :rotfl:
Then I thought "that's a bit fishy" and went back to read it again. Kadish boom! I'm at the end of the pier all week, folks.Grocery challenge September 2022: £230.04/£200

gosh don`t children talk!! I have forgotten, every minute of the day, what a non-stop enquiring sponge of a mind, why does this happen, why does that happen and what a heck of a responsibility we adults have. Little gs (4) suprised me in being very very happy over 3 nights and oh so helpful, getting changed himself, toileting himself. Oh you do forget when your own children are in their 35-40s. I was kind of noticing my own behaviour too and it was all so natural, teaching, talking, being kind. Its re-assuring really, knowing that our own 3 had the same treatment and that I did my best without trying. We are driving him back this morning after a grown up cooked breakfast, it`s a long day
Spice tins are excellent but not unpacked properly yet (from naturally balmy) and the coloured labels have arrived so a nice few hours of sorting to look forward to next week. I`ll be able to clear a whole cupboard I think. New blender arrived yesterday just in time for to make banana smoothies. Book selling is good and amazon is easy going, I made clear £45 so far. I have 2 financial trading books that I know would net £80 but I don`t know if I am ready to part with them yet. Mmmm, in a whisper, I just ordered a kmix mixer, I couldn`t sit on my hands any longer. got to find more books to sell
I am anticipating rapeseed being scary this year, we went to fetch dgs and it isn`t just here that is surrounded but field after massive field all the way there. Farmers must be getting good prices for biofuel seeds. The whole thing is so wrong in my mind, biofuel instead of growing food. I am getting ready for rapeseed season as dh was quite bad last year, the phenolics (perfume) can cause asthma attacks and there were times when his breathing was difficult. I have just taken delivery of one 7 stage filter, which I set up in the bedroom last night and it is quietly cleaning the air. I closed all vents and it all smelt nice and fresh all night. The good filter machines are expensive but I`ll spend savings on them. I have ordered another slightly less powerful, different one for another room and I may have to order a powerful third one to clean the big downstairs area. Oh well, no holiday again next year, I jest really as we live in a holiday area so can explore out of the rapeseed pollination season
Chilli and pepper seedlings are looking strong (the realseed co) and I have potted on into root trainers. 50 root trainers in one tray so very economical on space. I am also growing for son and sons in law. I`ll have to get seed sowing organised for real next week, not much time left for dithering, tomatoes at least will have to be started. Potatoes are chitting the best ever, so conditions must be just right, they are in a light frost free and cold porch. They are growing slowly but sturdy. I still have a cabbage glut, so cabbage in everything now but not noticeable in many things. It is lovely finely shredded and lightly cooked with a few fennel or caraway seeds, which help digestion0 -
Afternoon all...thanks for the hugs i need them at the mo..hormones haven't settled down yet..
Well my new washing machine is here and its bloody lovely yay..one problem..i forgot to measure it and its 3" to big to fit in my gap for it..so hubby is on about doing the kitchen re-vamp pretty soon as in next week...as we both can't stand the sight of a base unit sticking out the end of the worktop..so the plan is to buy or invest in a nice big kitchen trolley that i can store some of my pans in and get rid of the cupboard altogether..and have more room..my idea is that i can wheel it out and the tots might actually be able to do more baking with me rather than having to stand on a chair all the time next to me, makes my heart go all funny and darn right almost stops when they move it...so its the BIG de-clutter of the kitchen and cupboards..my older dd's will be inheriting a lot of it so i know if i need it i can borrow it back..thats the beauty of older ones lol..
Hubby has taken over the spare room and got his spuds chitting away..thats chitting..not *hitting like the tots thought he said and promptly came to tell me daddy was swearing lol..our seeds came from dobeys..in a big envelope so thats for opening later when we are alone..sounds weird but if tots get hold of them we don't get a look in..besides its lovely to sit together and have a cuppa and plan where we are growing them at the lotties...
Hobsons choice..i use a 15 minute scone recipe..from start to finish it takes 15 minutes..will post recipe if you want it..
got to go..tea-time again..

Oh yes, I would love a good scone recipe, I keep threatening to make them.
DH bought me a new baking sheet a few weeks ago as I asked him to get one but he's bought one with holes in it! That's not going to be any good for choux pastry is it?Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0
