Still on the iPad so it's a short message tonight:o
MrsLW - Although still worrying it's good to hear that the news about Docky isn't bad. I can imagine he may be feeling a bit sorry for himself though!
FTM - will be keeping my fingers crossed the wedding goes off ok and the witch gets her comeuppance at some point. I'm not even going to pass comment on my MIL and the attention seeking stunts she pulled at our wedding but suffice to say what goes round comes round:)
Hoglet - little Alfie sounds like he has made himself completely at home now. That will keep the other cat on their toes.
VJ's mum - fingers crossed for dd.
Candlelight and our other forum friends:hello:
That's enough from me- this touchpad nonsense is annoying so I'll surf quietly instead,0 -
Morning all,
Just checking in hoping Docky had a good night and is not too sore. Hopefully might be ready for a short walky. Hope Mum and Dad had a better night as well:)
Love

Morning CANDLELIGHT I am pleased to say that the Dockling slept the night through (albeit on our bed!!!) at some point in the night consumed every scrap of food he could find including his bikkit stash from the toy box, woke up absolutely full of ping at 6.25 and wagging frantically stuck his extremely cold nosey under the duvet and gave me a good morning sneeze. He was very insistent that Dadi take him for his normal walkies (usually 5 ish miles) and give him a very good feed of kibble on the way round. I've got towels down on the floor for him to roll dry on as it's raining sporadically out there. He recovers very fast from medical treatments and just gets on with life, he's a stoic little beggar, lovely though, Lyn xxx.0

Lyn that is great, what a clever doggy he is, you must be so relieved. I am sure the results will be positive next week, although I know you will worry until you are told.
Try not to spoil him too much today!!!
Much love

Good evening all,
Just a short one from me tonight.
Lyn hope Docky has had a good day and that he is comfortable.
FTM hope the wedding goes well on Saturday. I am sure you must be really busy making sure everyone's outfits are ready, by the way what colour are you wearing, or is it a secret?
I hope the weather is good for it and I am sure Heather will look beautiful. You and Simon will be very proud parents. I expect Fern and Iris are excited about it all.
Hi to everyone else, good to see you posting Hoglet I look forward to your posts. I think Alfie is here to stay, don't you?
Kate are you OK, probably really busy.
Well that's all for now, take care everyone
Much love

Hi all..sorry been busy with wedding stuff..i finished the table decorations today..
Mlw..i am so glad docky is ok..he is a tough ole doggy..bless him..give him extra big hugs from me and the girlies..your comment made me chuckle..yes a huge great bird with constipation that magically relieves itself on her hat..shouldn't wish it on anyone but i make an exception for her..
VJ's mum..o am so pleased for your girl..fingers crossed..
SM..lol..i am going to totally ignore the woman..
Hoglet..ouch your hubby ankle sounds painful..i will be watching the rugby too..before we go to the wedding..
Candlelight o aren't you so sweet..hugs just for you..how is your girl getting on?
I have been busy doing school stuff..our topic this week is British Birds..its seems our birds are shy..everytime we go out to search for them they darn well disappear..so we have had to be sneaky and hide in the wendy house...
Well yet more trouble looming..apparently the dresses i have for the girls are too bridesmaidy..what does that mean..and they are not allowed to go to the evening reception..her words not dd..who told me to ignore her and bring them..am in two minds now wether to just go to wedding ceremony and afternoon reception and then come home..i really don't want to cause trouble..
I have arranged for me and the little girls to have our hair done and nails done tomorrow..got some face packs too..its going to be fun for us..
I have been quite busy in the garden too..planted some primroses in my borders and we have nearly got all the potatoes planted at the allotment..
My lovely hubby has bought me a new handbag for Mother's day..yes..its a satchel type with horses printed on it..lovely..he has also got me some bulbs for the garden..not so romantic but what i love..
I am off to bed now..praying it will a nice day on saturday..
love you all

FTM just popping out of lurkdom to ask you to keep smiling at the wedding. . . . . that will brass off the MIL more than anything else
I married the only child of a widow who was horrified that her precious was determined to marry me despite her disapproval . . . . she turned up at our wedding in a pale cream suit ... trimmed with black piping and accessorised by a black and cream blouse, black shoes, black handbag, black tights, black hat worn with the thick black veil pulled well down and a black expression . . . pointedly sat on her own at the reception, refused all food and drink as "too upset to touch a thing" and stood apart unsmiling from the main group for the photographs . . . . did everything that she could to demonstrate her displeasure
It certainly made for a memorable day!!! All I could do was look happy and keep smiling!:heartpuls The best things in life aren't things :heartpuls

Hi everyone :-)
MLW - so pleased to hear that Docky has recovered well from the anaesthetic, and his good morning sneeze made me smile :-)
Candlelight - bless you, you are so sweet :-) and yes I think little Alfie wont be going anywhere, I really hope not anyway!
FTM - all the best for Saturday. Although our wedding was very light on family arguments (I think!) my mum sat all the way through the wedding ceremony with a thoroughly disapproving look on her face. Which I wouldn't have noticed if the photographer hadn't included pictures of our parents taken during the ceremony. She tried to blame the photographer saying she didn't know why he'd taken a photo of her looking like THAT, but I had point out it he didn't have much choice seeing as that's how she'd arranged her face....
Weather is beautiful and set to last for the weekend. 2 and a half weeks left to push before I have some time off work - can't wait! I don't have anything planned but will probably do a bit of DIY around the house... Cats started playing at 5.20 this morning, on a day when I didn't have to get up as early as usual - how do they know?!
Hope everyone is well, I'm loving being involved in this thread :-)

FTM, you're not causing trouble she is!! Why should you leave your own daughters wedding reception because of some snotty mare with a chip on he shoulder? Families, eh?
Pity your poor DD who has her for ever
Hope you have a wonderful time.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Morning all..thank you all for the moral support..yes i will keep smiling all the way through..its my girls day and i am not going to ruin it for her or her husband to be..i think tbh the MIL feels a bit threatened by me..not physically at all i hasten to add..she lives around the corner from them and is there constantly..i however am the other side of town but always ring or text my dd everyday..i kind of leave them to live their life not interfere but will advise if asked..she however is a bit pushy..she has said my girl is the dd she never had, which is lovely for my dd..but i think she is a bit possesive..my dd and her husband to be had a do before my youngest gd was born as the MIL was pushing for the baby to be named after her...in the end they gave the baby her name but as a middle name..and now she insists on calling her by her middle name not her first name...so strange..o and the biggest bug bear she has is the fact that my dd wants to keep her maiden name lol..that went down like a lead balloon..but nevermind..i am determined to have a great day and see the first of my 5 girls get married..yep so i have this 5 more times..
Charliesaunt..omg really..what a drama queen..glad you kept smiling
Hoglet..i am looking forward to seeing the wedding photo's of my girls day..i will smile for Britain..am going to get my glamour puss head on today..only 2 weeks til your time off..wonderful it will fly by you see.
Glad you like this thread i do too..
MLW..hey how is docky today
VJ's mum..i know i shouldn't leave the reception but she is quite intimidating and made it clear to me that they are not wanted at the evening do...am going to avoid her and take my hubby with me everywhere i go..we are all looking forward to this day and i am not going to let a sourpuss ruin it..
Candlelight helloooo...
Right got to go..girls are up and i need another cuppa..
love to you all
