Could I open another online account in my OH's name to use the extra points codes again? Would he need a boots card before he could place his first order?

  • I've done my first bit of Bootsing today. I went upstairs and paid at a quiet til (childrens/kitchen rather than photo)

*I picked up an MF box, but wasn't brave enough to just put it through with my shopping, so bought one of the half price lip glosses - £3.49

*I got 2 of the No17 lipsticks which are 2 for £5 and also used a £1 off voucher (from the mag, I think). I think someone said that they got £1 off each of theirs as well as the multibuy, but that didn't work for me - £4

*I used my facial skincare voucher on a Sanctuary facial gift set - £9.50 (tried to use the extra points voucher from the change on thing pack, but it wouldn't go through - not sure if this was because the reduced amount was over £10 or if it can't be used on gift sets)

*Botanics hair and body wash reduced to £1.87 - used extra points voucher from mag, I think

*I also bought some cold and flu stuff for DH as he's off work poorly, so an extra 100 points there.

*Used an extra points when you spend over £20 voucher from the ACM too.

    Think that was everything - 494 points for a £25 spend :)
    Bank loan - [STRIKE]£9949.52 [/STRIKE]/ £8705.83 * Loan from DH - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE]/ £350 * Overdraft - [STRIKE]£0[/STRIKE] £648.47
    Total debt at LBM (09 2006) - £10,549.52 Total debt on 14 Mar 2007 - £9704.30 - 8.1% Paid off
    This week's budget - £20 Spend so far - £32.50
    March's target - keep overdraft below £600 - failed :(

Proud to be dealing with my debts

Drat the advantage machine was pants today ! They hardily had any vouchers- no real new offers. They have new 100 points for sanctuary products but is on the new skincare range only so wont work with the grey charcoal masks.
There was lots of Dior scents reduced instore so you could use these for getting the Dior set. The £19.99 farenhenit set looks good value & Dior addict is £16.
I bought a reduced NO7 mirror at £19.99 and got a free wrap with it- the mirror says it will make me look more beautiful- im tempted to take it back for a refund if it doesnt ! ;)
Also got a lovely box set of givenchys ange ou demon reduced from £45 to £29.99. I paid with points- that really hurt, i hate cashing points in.
No MF boxes in sight. Sanctuary still on 3 for 2 so no mothers day sets yet- will prob be next week.
Also suprisingily they are still giving out the skincare vouchers- I would have thought they would have finished this week since they run out next week.
Got 2 double benefit sharpners and 500 points but dumb me picked up the double sharpners which were £3.50 each  - so watch out dont pick up the double ones !

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
My last boots order should have arrived 15th Feb (Thursday) but came 19th (Monday). I sent them an e-mail on the Saturday asking when I could expect my order. I was very polite. Got an e-mail today very very sorry for the delay in replying and for the late delivery and gave me 750 points to collect. That was tottally unexpected.

I was in the Cheltenham Boots monday and just went round and round in circles trying to get the best deals with vouchers and coupons. I don't know how most of you keep such a clear head and get so many bargains. I get so hot & flustered I just want to leave.

Im the same most of the time as well. tOday I forgot to give in my 100 points token & then made the mistake with the sharpners ! I now take a list saying what I have to do- but it aint easy being a boots tart- no people think we get all these freebies for nothing- well there wrong, its a struggle & we pay in blood, sweat ,tears & coupons ! :D
In all seriousness just try to keep calm- to err is human I prefer to have a wander get an idea of where I am going to hit & then come back with a definate idea of what to get - i also try to organise my vouchers in an order before I go to the till. If you read through the boards you will notice it doesnt always go perfect & loads of us make mistakes.
If you seen anyone in a crumbled heap ,sobbing outside a scottish boots.- its me forgot to give a extra points coupon voucher at the till !

  • There are LOADS of MF boxes in the York branch (Coney Street), but beware as SAs are suspicious - I managed to get one but second time was denied even thought the till said yes. There were none in the Monks Cross branch at the weekend.
