Good morning. I had had no computer for over a week, so a bit behind with the Bootsing. I know it is a pain when someone deos this but I have tried to find it on the last thread but can't so............

What is the Max Factor box thing and how does it work?

MF seem to have a promo where you're meant to spend £15 to get a free box (available in black or red, tied with a bow of contrasting colour) with sample bits in it, however some clever person realised it scans in as free regardless of spending that amount, and regardless of buying any MF products. Pick your SA carefully, avoid paying at make-up counters, and prob worth buying a few other bits you can explain it away as "oh its free over £5/free with this random bit of non-MF makeup" etc, depending how brave you're feeling

with regards to the mf boxes has anyone been challenged when youve said its free with something in there/its free with £5 spend - im just wondering how you would get past if they knew that they were going through free with anything and basically called you a liar in front of a queue of people - my worst nightmare

I got 2 boxes yesterda (you can get one red and one black through on same transaction if you're lucky!) by balancing one of the BENEFIT sharpeners on each box, and handing them to the pharmacy guy saying that they were free with each sharpener. Mighty cheeky of me, but it worked

Theres a points deal on Benefit stuff, 500 extra pointts for 2 items bought, so 2 x £2.50 sharpeners = £5 spend +500 points

edit: some also would tell the SA that they had a couple of eyeliner pencils in basket but they must've falled out through the bars, so just smile and leave it aside saying they'll come back for it later

Does anyone know whether the £16 No7 voucher can be used on the Facial Sauna thing? Is it possible to use it and then pay the remainder?

My mother is in a nursing home and I give me spare toiletries to them, they use the small bits as bingo prizes and more valuable items as raffle prizes to raise funds for extras for the old folk. Everything is always gratefully received.

everyone seems to do really well out of boots yet the boots in castleford never seems to have any of the bargins in, no no.7 641 nor the peel mask for £8 with the wrap or the mf boxes... i despair sometimes

Hi, yes my friend was brave and used it on that and a wrap, she picked up a few other bits, nappies, etc and put it all through. The voucher took off the whole amount of the sauna thing, go for it and good luck!!

Kensington Boots now changed their sign with the MF boxes, yesterday it said "free with £15 spend" on the sign by the display near tills, today it says "free with MF Mascara". I forget which one they specified.. but think it's the one that's also on a lil hanging display near the Sanctuary skincare shelf, which has another little sign saying "MF mascara £9.99, plus extra 200pts"

Still no sign of that blasted lip gloss stuff in the colour i want being restocked. Will have to try another store.
