hello marymilkmaid local fellow mser! Yes I've been made to feel awful quite a few times but with the help and advice on here have developed a thicker skin and tend to prey on the saturday girls now as they flash any voucher through! St peters have no reduced stock but do have lots of botanics stuff left.

Never mind Saturday girls, always head for the Saturday boys, they don't like any embarrassment so will just put any voucher through if they can.

:D they don't seem to exist in Mansfield! Will keep my eyes open more when I nip in this week to spend my last vouchers.

PLease, if someone has any ideas, help me here. I wont beat around the bush, i feel like !!!!!! (ive been for a biopsy today:o ) and know if someone was thoughtful enough to give me a bag of Boots goodies, it would make my day. But thanks to everyone here, my cupboard is stuffed and i want to cheer at least one other person up (have enough to cheer up several:T ).

Will stop waffling now but am open to any ideas:o And yes, coming on here is taking my mind off the pain, even though i should be resting:eek:

    HI zztopgirl
I know its been suggested already but further to that suggestion, why not phone your local hospitals and specifically ask for the oncology ward, or to speak with the secretary of an oncologist who should be able to tell you whether or not there is a group attached to the oncology care unit for raising funds. Many of these groups have stalls in outpatients clinics where they sell second hand or new donated goods and this way you'll know where your items or monies raised have gone to.
I hope you feel better soon and that things turn out ok for you.

I saw some new Sanctuary skincare sachets in my Boots today. They were in a shelf marked 'rosemary and something scrub/mask' but said (I think, my memory's not too good) something about collagen on them. They were 15ml in the new white packaging and looked like the new charcoal masks until I looked closer. Does anyone know what they are or how much they cost?

    Thanks :)

i got them today, i am not sure what they are a replacement for, but they are collagen masks. they cost 2.50, so free with your voucher! (i know i tried. SA had to put it through manually though, but I suspect it's just my branch as she had to put the rosemary and mint mask manually too)

anyone who uses Veet wax strips
in boots they are like £6 for 20 strips
i get the £10 for 40 strips pack
the £10 value pack is on offer advertised at £7.49 :D
on top of that, they over charged me at the till, the till basically took off £2 per pack instead of £2.50
i went back, the guy refunded me what i had paid and resold them changing the price to £7.49 - the till still took the £2 off
    i got 2 boxes of 40 for just over £10 :D
i said to the guy shouldnt it be £15 and he said no a multibuy offer takes off £2 per pack

    :D
think it was just this guys mistake but the overprice might be nationwide so watch out but you never know it might take off extra money
    Yes Your Dukeiness :D

I sorted out my bags of goodies at the weekend and i want to give most of them away, but would like to give it away to other women battling serious illness. I asked at a local cancer charity today and they said try somewhere else. Basically no thanks:mad:

I dont know what else to do. I know from past experience that the local refuge wont accept the items, i have rang them in the past wanting to donate items or clothes, but all they ever accept is money. I dont want to give it to a charity shop though.

wish you all the best some charity shops are very happy to take cosmetics/make up look in the phone book and see what's in your town.
We have a YMCA who are very happy with any stuff no silly rules and regs.
  • ZZtopgirl, I have had breast cancer twice. (the family have a heriditary gene) and having linked in with the macmillan support group at the hospital. I know that they would welcome any donations of products to pass onto women who might not be able to afford 'feel good' products.. maybe go along to your support centre... have a chat with the staff and volunteers there at the same time as passing on some feel good products.

Good luck with the results of the biopsy..

Apols to Boots mods.. its not on topic but sure you understand.. theres a lot of women and men who in one way or another are affected by cancers... and use this board.

I quite like the sunday SA on the retail park boots (sorry dont know the proper name). I kept being given a voucher back for each 50p I spent during the 641.

You will have to let me know when your shopping, maybe we could meet up. Safety in numbers etc :D

    Edit: my spelling is awful!!
