Thank you very much for those replies. I have come a cropper at the photo counter before in the Lancaster store, that's where I had a really embarrassing episode! I have to go there with a film anyway, so I might try it. In fact, all the SA's, even on the Pharmacy in Lancaster, seem to be very suspicious and watch like hawks as everything goes through! I haven't found anyone 'nice' who lets things go. Wish me luck now as I go and try it!

Wow another lancaster MSER, I have problems with the SA in boots lancaster, the middle age ladies are a nightmare, particularly one with bleach blonde hair and glasses she peers over the top of at you, but I just tell her, I've done it before and it works, but every time I go its her and she tries to tell me I can't do it. The No7 counter is no good either. Anyway hope it goes well.

I think i saw this tip a while back on one of these threads, but keeping old receipts such as getting an electrical no.7 item for 99p with a voucher, or bogof suncare and free wrap, etc, etc, then if a sa starts playing up, just bring out the receipts. This is something i especially should've done with the horrid sa who insists on a £20 spend to get the no.7 wrap.

Theres another thing i dont like, when the sa reads out my points total as if to say 'where have i been getting all these points from?' then i feel like i have been robbing points from somewhere.

My BF does xmas work with Boots, or used to, he told me he used to always wonder how ppl amounted so many points on their card and was imagining they'd managed to mock up their own card readers to fraud the system (lively imagination that one!)

He's impressed by my tales of bootsing, and now fully understands, seeing as I've gained £106 worth of points in just a few months! Thinks I'm mad though...

zztopgirl, I agree with you, I had that comment last christmas, I had saved my points up all year for a camera for christmas, and before I traded my points in, an SA shouts out, oh, where have all these points come from? are you saving them for christmas?? Thats £80+ you have got now!!

There is also a gentleman that works on a tues morn in my local town branch, very nice and obliging, very polite and friendly, but he does like to say at the end of the transaction, whilst handing me my receipt, thats £??(whatever amount is on card) in points for you. Very nice of him to notice, and to advise other customers who may be behind me in the queue!! ( they get it from him aswell, not just me!!):o
if you cant have what you want, be grateful for what you have :T

    Pickle number 3 arrived 24th december 2007 :A
