:) the stuff i have bought "for the sake of it" has cost me little money and make great presents in hampers for xmas! plus all the point offers that came with the botanics etc meant itd be rude not to take things off thier hands...due to a very nice poster giving me sancuary vouchers ill be buying (for very little) 2 sanctuary products to get the weekend bag thatll make a lovely prezzie. Its sooo much cheaper doing it this way than waiting for xmas to come! lpus anyhting that doesnt go to prezzies im carbooting when the weather gets better to make some money :D

Fair enough if it goes to a good cause! i have just known ppl to buy stuff in sales (esp clothes i guess, jan sales!) for the sake of it, something seems good deal even if they dont want it etc. im not saying anyone here is like that, but there are mad crazy ppl out there who need to rethink why they buy things!

Boots in Staines has a couple of no7 home manicure sets reduced to £22. Not sure what their full price was, but looks like a nice gift to me. Even better if you can use a £5 voucher, but sadly, I don't have any.

its the same with any of the grabbit threads here though - you cant tell me all those people who ordered the platinum ring really NEEDED it did they? Or all the ones who were arguing about not being able to get a set of bunk beds just because the price was low - its the same with everything, everyone has different priorities and if one of those is stocking up on smellies which will always be used then we might as well get them now while the price is as low as possible :T

I have bought toiletries etc that I genuinely needed and then if theres vouchers on, I make the most by topping up my stock, for nothing or very little cash outlay. I was worrying in january about the fact my "pressie" box was looking rather empty, and now Im happy to say its chocca and Ive had to start filling my bathroom cabinets. All this, either I will use, itl go for gifts to my pregnant friends, to friends birthdays, mothers day, fathers day, christmas, and like another lady mentioned, making hampers up. I also give to the school when asking for gifts for their christmas or summer fair etc, oh, and my muminlaw last year, did quite a bit of sewing for me, she extended some curtains for my sons bedroom, and also made him a tudor outfit for a school trip, and as a little thankyou, I gave her a "pressie". My neighbour was also very poorly last year, she nearly died, and then she lost her husband to cancer in the space of 3 months, again, my "pressie" box came in, and I was able to give her a little something to let her know we were thinking of her. I always like to have a good stock, and know I can treat my friends and family as and when I fancy :)
Also, I have just found out Im pregnant, so I think I deserve a little pampering aswell:A

good for you with the treats - i think the reason people feel the need to give an explanation is when questioned about something like this we feel the need to justify it, which of course we dont but hey no harm done, im just pleased this thread is so friendly :)
