Section 75 is no good here - the value is too low.

It was a Visa Debit that was used, not a credit card.
  • To be honest, I'd stop wasting time chasing them as you'll probably get nothing back.

They're in administration, you essentially have no rights. A quick Google would have given the same answers as this thread. :)

another vote for section 75 credit card claim (assuming you used a credit or visa debit card)

The card issuer is liable if the retailer goes bust and therefore can't fulfil his legal and/or contractual obligations

But thy did fullfill the obligation they delivered the goods as ordered??

How do I put in a claim please?
Ask your card company how to request a "chargeback". You may find a dispite form on their website.
You may not be successful but you might like to try.
You can also put in a claim as an unsecured creditor by downloading the form from Peacocks website. This is unlikely to be fruitful.
I have done both but I'm sorry to say you will probably have to write it off.

I appreciate some people cannot easily get to shops as I have close family who are severly disabled.
I was not trying to be unhelpful or sarcastic in any way.
My point was that for the vast majority there are risks of buying online that go largely unappreciated most of the time until something like this happens.
I must admit I hadn't appreciated the risk with buying vouchers and I assumed I would be protected by my credit card, but I'm afraid it's not looking good.

If you bought with credit card, you might be able to raise a dispute, if you are quick.

Credit car disputes have to be over £100 I'm afraid.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

    That's specifically for section 75.
I don't believe there is any such limit for chargebacks.
I'm not saying a chargeback claim would be successful in fact mostly I've been advised it won't but surely for anyone that can't afford the loss it's worth a stamp.
There is always the off-chance of a goodwill gesture.
I am still expecting to have to write it off.

Contact your Bank. You may struggle though as you got what you ordered and it's not faulty.

Yep but it's not only delivery that s75 covers, it would also cover any statutory rights like the ability to return them under DSR and any other contractual rights like any returns policy the store might have had.

Having said that, as others have pointed out the goods need to be worth over £100 for s75 to work.

OP, you mentioned "some clothes that didn't fit and are worth £30" what was the value of the whole order?

If it's less than £100 then your only chance is a charge-back on the grounds that the clothes were not in accordance with the description i.e. wrong size etc

There is no limit for credit card disputes, but there is no chargeback right which can be used in this situation. The OP received what they ordered.
Ebay would be their best bet.
  • Can everyone stop going on about credit cards....it was a visa debit card that was used and you are covered with purchases under £100.

covered to ensure you can return them if they don't fit?
