As the first post very clearly states:

These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.

I don't mind if everybody posts their own lists. For newbies often a list is really helpful to get them started and give them ideas. Some people like to stick to the lists. TBH I rarely in the past 5 years have done any lists other than my own but before that I found them very useful when I was new. I know what needs doing in my home - and now you all do too as that is on the whole what each week's list is comprised of :p

It is actually better for Jue and I if flyers do their own lists rather than annotate our offering with comments like, "does not apply to me", it is completely impossible for us to create a list suitable for the wonderfully varied community that is flylady.

So if anybody wants to use our lists for inspiration great, if not then please simply create your own and feel free to post them, you may inspire others.

DK I find your lists get me started. Without them I might not get started at all. Especially when the old BD visits, like ATM. Sometimes I cant manage something on the lists so I write what I can manage and what I see needs to be done here.

Thank you loads and loads :D

I have just decluttered the shelf under our huge coffee table. It hasn't been touched in months but I had to get onto the floor to pick up something I had dropped and I saw all the bundles of dust, dog hair etc. plus lots of out of date catalogues. I think I can safely dispose of 2011 Spring Summer books!!!

dk i know im new and its your lists that get me something to go at i really aprechiate the effort you put into doing the thread
AND i also love the fact that some people do their own- everyones homes and family situation is different so we dont all have the same rooms or situations to work to.
im waffling now arent i but the goal of this thread is a tidy organised and happy home and i think in this thread ive found it.

    Hi everyone.

    Lamewolf - don't you dare stop posting:eek:

Mummyof5 - another vote for Clarks here but if your boys play football at break and lunchtime don't buy them the moccasin style shoes because this style doesn't stand up to the battering they then take. A little tip from the local shoe shop here - they won't sell you this style if you have football players.

    Hi Flyfriends

I know I have been absent for a while but I do read .. I have been prompted to post today by LW .. you know my situation honey so I certainly don't follow any lists, yet I have been part of this community for a long time now & have always been welcomed with open arms.

I know you always say you have no friends in RL but I think of you as a friend .. I love reading your posts especially the doggie bits & you never fail to make me smile, not an easy task when the BD is lurkng .. so if I have any influence left on here I beg you to stay :A just for me 'pretty please' :D I keep in touch with a lot of other flyladies via FB but don't have that option with you :p xxx

As Valli mentioned the other day it is the first anniversary of Diva's passing on Sunday .. in some ways it feels like forever & in others only yesterday. It has been a year of ups & downs, all of which I have shared with her OH (Ian) so it seems fitting we spend some time together on the day .. there will be tears but I think we have reached a point where there will be plenty of happy memories as well. Diva was such an important part in both our lives as I know she was in a lot of people on here too.

I won't mention everyone individually or I will get told off for being OT & clogging the thread but there are lots of ladies on here who are always there for me .. so my love & thanks to you all :A

Keep up the good work everyone & welcome to any newbies who wonder who I am .. you will get lots of support here :D

    Back to lurking xxxx

Just back from hols yesterday. Great to come back to tidy house - first time ever!! My son called in to keep an eye on things and he was amazed at how tidy it was. Will try and get something done to-day.

  • thanks LL for your post. I don't 'know' you, but I know you are very well thought of on this forum, so always like to see you post :)
And as for Lamewolf, don't you dare stop posting! :p We love to hear from you :)

Not much flying here (from me, anyway!). DH is upstairs clearing out DS's room. He has been at it for the best part of 2 days!

While I was picking up from playschool, I had a call from the local environmental health lady :eek: I haven't plucked up the courage to call back yet :o I am worried that they may want to inspect me! (don't get me wrong - my kitchen is ok - but it is still scary!!) Anyway - I have now booked someone to clean my oven!! It has been on my Toots list forever :p It was the kick up the jacksy I needed :rotfl:I suppose I had better make the call, and hope they come round after the oven has been cleaned. i feel a kitchen deep clean coming on ;)
Still no word from my non-payer

OK - I think I will make DH another cuppa - he has earned it :T
  • LW - Don't you dare stop posting!

I'm not exactly on list myself at the moment - too much family stuff going on! i just do the best I can!

If you stop I'd have to ! And i'm NOT planning on it!

DD2 has talked to the photography teacher - and has made her feelings known about the other teacher. We still have to find somewhere that can print random sized pictures from a memory stick.....

She is finally starting to perk up after the tonsillitis... it's only been 3 weeks!

On a lighter note DS has a new job! :j:jWe heard about it before Christmas (via his best mates mum) but it took a long time to sort out. However today is his 5th day working for a local plasterer. Out at 7am 3 times this week - but he's loving it! £6/hour is better than McDonalds and no dodgy shifts either! Fingers crossed it works out!
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j

CY great news for your DS, a good plaster is hard to find and always in demand so let's hope he learns lots.

Back for the day now, I love that feeling of not having to go out again. I've got a new sack of coal and potatoes which should see us to the end of feb at least. All DS3's birthday presents got or ordered too.

Having a cuppa then I need to ice a cake I've made for a friend's daughters birthday then DS3 wants me to make him a cake as he thought it was for us. That is fine, I found 8 eggs in the fridge I did not know where there and I bought another dozen today.
