Finish something you've started

SOOOOO not gonna happen!:eek::eek::eek:

See if you can finish you're flying earlier this week :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: so you get a break before the new thread, even if this means removing some things from your list
No can do - there's too much I need Mr LW's assistance with that therefore has to be done over the weekend.:(:(:(:(:(

Folks, I've discussed this with Mr LW and we've come to a decision re Flying. Once again, I'm finding myself getting bogged down;:( f'r instance taking the contents out of a drawer and putting them back for no really good reason when “tidy a drawer” is on the list; also much of our housework now has to be done at the weekend, as I physically can't do it unaided:( (hoovering, cleaning the bath, anything that involves going outdoors, for instance)

So I'm going to be doing my own lists from here on, with a set room per day, as I think that will suit me better:o – thusly:
Monday: Kitchen
Tuesday: Lounge + hall
Wednesday: Bathroom (excluding bath)
Thursday: Bedroom
Friday: Spare room (used for storage)
That covers the whole bungalow except the loft, and I can't get up there in any case.

The only exception will be if Mr LW is wfh on Tuesday or Wednesday; then that room will be swapped with the Bedroom, as I cannot do the Lounge or Bathroom with him at home – he's working in the lounge, and it's not worth putting clingy limescale removing loo stuff round with him here, as it doesn't get chance to sit there and do its work. *rolleyes*

Thanks Dusty and JJ for all the lists;:A I hope you're not offended by my decision, but I feel it will be better for me – as you can see from today's list, which I've annotated before doing any Flying, my needs are slightly different from many peoples'.:o

So today, I'll clean round in the Spare Room; it's not untidy – there's only the two of us, and I'm something of a neat freak – but there are Dragons, crates of stores and bookshelves all wanting dusting.:D

If you prefer that I stop posting, I will do so, as I won't be following the official lists;:o but I'll still lurk to see what you are all up to.;)

I am soooooo far behind this week, mon, tue was fine, but not been around much. Just had an AF order, 2 hugh big boxes, which i am so pleased with, but place looks like a bombs hit it, will start now as of yesterdays, and will try to catch up. Happy flying all

Cyclingyorkie many happy returns for your upcoming milestone birthday. I had my first mammogram yesterday, my eyes are still watering thinking about it !!! good luck with that one !!!

Lamewolf It does suit me at the moment to follow the lists, but i don't follow them to the letter. I don't iron, so i use that time (i wish) to sort a very messy spare room. If i don't need to tidy a drawer, i will shine the bath or something. I think any flying around is inspiring to others, and like to read so i would say keep posting.

LameWolf please keep posting. I always find your contributions very inspiring. I've been trying to start flying while off sick, and have done more lurking than posting on this thread. Just been told I can start phased return to work in a couple of weeks which will probably mean most flying gets done at weekends for a while - so seeing what you do at weekends would really help me. My OH is disabled so can't do much - so I'm glad to be going back to work but worried about the impact on flying. Only made a start so far - lots more clearing to do - so I want to get things more organised before my return and then maintain the flow.

Thanks for everyone's inspiring posts - really helping me to get motivated. :T

I wasn't going to post because today I've only made a sponge and vacuumed through downstairs. I rarely follow the lists on here, only if they happen to coincide with what I normally do. I have certain days when I do certain jobs because otherwise I probably wouldn't do anything. So if you stop posting Lamewolf, then I'll have to stop too! I mostly post and read because I don't have any friends and I like to feel as though I'm part of a community, even if it's a virtual one.

What's all this talk of stopping posting??!!

Everyone is to stay as they are! Do what ever jobs you want, when you want to do them and post that you've done them!! :)

We are a community and friends and all need moral support and advice.

Plus I don't like change and don't want people to leave! :(:D

Afternoon all

Busy day here and off out again in a minute, only dailies likely to be done until much later.

Yes, as Pigpen says they definitely last longer. I bought DD a pair of boots from Mr T - they lasted 4 weeks and got hammered; almost fell apart, had a hole developing and looked awful. I always get shoes for both of mine from Clarks (in the sale) and they last for ages - give them a quick polish when I remember and they come up lovely.

I know it's a bit OT but can I ask your help/advice please. I am struggling to do everything as have typing work which I get paid for, but am also trying desperately to declutter by giving to CS, putting on eb*y, doing cooking, sorting out kids, walking the dog, trying to help DH with his filing system and I always find that housework falls to the bottom of the order. The thing is it gets top of me and the more I leave it the worse it gets but I don't seem to be able to do all I have to do. I've also started my Level 2 Maths course and I need to be studying that but I can't seem to manage it - if I pass I'll get an NVQ which will be really good to have.

DH likes me to be able to sit down with him in the evening (I used to type in the evening but he's not happy with that) and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed right now. I don't know how on earth I'd manage if I had a proper job - how you guys who work do it all is beyond me!

Does anyone have any suggestions please?

As I have highlighted that really is it's place at the bottom of the pile of the other things you need to achieve for your family.

However it saddens me how many of you appear to be getting no help from the other members of your families. Being a family is not simply living in the same house it is supporting each other in many ways. I'm a firm believer in Dr Phil's approach that people treat you how you have taught them to and how you allow them to. I can see no genuine reason why most of you cannot get the rest of the family to help you out a bit. Yes I know it can be more effort than doing it yourself but with kids at least you are teaching them really important aspects of respect and if you have boys not turning them into OHs who do not help.

Sermon over, off to the farm and cricket shops.

LW I do my own lists for similar reasons to you. I was feeling I wasn't doing any of the things on the list so I have often written my own list here and do what I can.

I think that you should stay and do your own flying. We have our own special ways of doing things, sometimes I just delete the things I can't manage. e.g. the kitchen floor. Someone else will do it eventually, I hope. :D Can I pm you?
