Better day today. Electrician came & replaced lights in kitchen & living room. Cleaned the staircase - 2 flights - which took ages polishing all the wood. Then dusted & did floors in kitchen & living room to remove all the mess the electrician made. It irritates me when workmen don't even make a cursory attempt to clean up after themselves. I could tell it would be like that from the start - it was absolutely pouring with rain when he arrived, but he stepped across the mat without wiping his feet and trailed the wet all up the hall. DS & DD would get short shrift if they try the same.

Friday - Kids Bedroom or neglected room
    Level 1
    [STRIKE]Hoover anywhere in need
Remove some cobwebs from hidden corners[/STRIKE]
    Level 2
[STRIKE]15 minute tidy up of your messiest room
That hotspot you cleared on Monday - is it back? Did you do it?[/STRIKE]
Any winter clothes not worn yet this year are unlikely to be, be ruthless
    Level 3
    Dust curtain rails/lampshades
    Wipe downstairs door handles
    Extras
    Clean out any pets
Plan to cook something different on the weekend

    Evening all

    LW - glad you're staying!!!

I didn't make it back since my last post and ended up with a very crazy week. DS1 was off to New York in the early hours of Monday and instead of the planned internal inspection at work we had a visit from HMI who took us out of special measures. :j:j:j
After three nights with very little sleep I've tried to make up for it, but still have lots of work to do, including DH's tax return and report writing. I'll write a proper list tomorrow morning.

Any flying has amazingly been done by DH, although not a lot. DS2 lost out this past week, so after swimming DH and I took him to a well known fast-food chain for tea and we played Mario Kart on the Wii when we came back. I'm yawning again, so I'll have a go at guitar hero (while nobody else is either in or awake) if I can keep my eyes open long enough.

I'll see you all in the morning. x

LW - please stay... you do FAR more than most of us, and we like hearing from you. And we've had this discussion about you overdoing it before. We're with MrLW on this one. A little light dusting and planning his dinner are more than enough. Congrats on getting rid of CAMRA... bet you have more energy when that's gone :) We'll have to set you a reading or cross-stitch challenge to fill the time. And don't forget, you're on LIGHT duties (oh... and I forgot... deep cleaning the loo seeing as it needs doing while MrLW is out :p)

Have done yet more shredding (and burned the results). Need to clean out the shredder again, and also get more paperwork out to deal with... I'm not getting too much out at a time as it will be overwhelming! I'm pleased with how well the new system is working...

Coffee table needs sorting, and I meant to do it while we were gossiping this evening, but it didn't happen, so maybe tomorrow evening when we get back.

Off to London tomorrow for the Hockney exhibition, so we're going to have breakfast on the train to avoid having to get up too early.

Probably won't be back online until Sunday evening, so have a great weekend :D

    Good morning ladies.

    LWyou have to stay.

Breastfeeding peer supporter course today. It's nice to meet ladies who are as passionate as me about the subject.

DS1 went to the youth centre after all the histrionics. She is coming here Tuesday at 10 am. This place needs to be tidied up he said. I told him to get involved if he wanted it nice. Everyone is going to pull their weight this week coming.

I hope everyone has a nice day

    Morning lovelies!

Washing to do today and lots of it, need to strip my bed and get that in and remake with fresh linen. Need to pop to M&S for tomorrow's dinner and hoover right through the house, will do the bathroom today too just to keep on top of it, don't want to have a mega clean to face when I move back out.

OH had a good look at what's going on with my house yesterday and it's coming along great :D outside insulation is now on so I dare say they'll start putting the render on on Monday. There is however a great big dint in my tin shed roof *roll eyes*

Getting new car on Monday now and not the end of Feb as SIL has found one she likes and is getting it then, bit too soon for me financially but can't get out of it now so will have to struggle. No idea how I'm going to save the money for my new oven now, and I do have to buy one cos I haven't got one  it'll all work out in the end but it doesn't take much to set me off stress-heading :o

Gonna make brew no. 2 and set the WM away.

Glad you're staying LW I love your posts :kisses3:

CY Congrats to DS on his new job, it sounds terrific x and well done to your DD for letting her feeling's be known to the teacher x

HMI who took us out of special measures

    That is brilliant news :j:j:j:j

We levelled the kitchen floor last night (was two rooms before with an inch drop) - so today we can hopefully sort the flooring. Everything is painted now and after that DH is back on woodwork. The room is feels big, bright and lovely - wonderful after five years of compact, dark and grotty.
