Still no car solution.
I have however got stuck in to the challenges on here for February and made some NFRs (New February Resolutions!).
I am hoping by doing the little things, something will come along or some flash of inspiration to solve my bigger problem!
Planning my spending a little more wisely this month. Although that really only means planning my grocery shopping as I don't tend to spend on much else that isn't already a direct debit. And as a plus, I am not buying petrol at the moment!
Off to do some baking soon, have a few ideas and have created some freezer space.

Argghhh!
Flooded kitchen now due to a blocked sink.
It never rains but it pours, literally0 -
Woo hoo!
Car is finally sorted
Parents bought a cheap car that I am going to buy off them in installments.
I can finally get to work!0 -
Sorry you've been having such a tough time of it lately, but hopefully this will be the first of many good things for you this year.
How are things going with cutting back the spending?0 -
Thanks Fosterdog
The spending cutting back is going well-ish.
I have spent a bit more than usual on groceries but that is because I have bought lots of eggs, flour, sugar etc for baking. It should last me a good while, and already I am managing to use up things I would otherwise have thrown away.
Looking to switch dog food too which should save me a bit of money.
The new car will help too as insurance is slightly lower and it should cost less in fuel to run.
I have also started planting seeds ready for veg in spring/summer so that should help too.

YUCK!!
Just done the budget brain budget and apparently I am overspending by £377 a month!!
I am not sure if this is right or not. I am managing to put money to one side to save, and also pay off bits towards my debts, so surely I can't be overspending by this much per month??
But then again, I have had to ask my parents to buy me the cheap car this month.
I wish I had a head for numbers, would make things so much easier!
I hate feeling like I am trying so hard but getting nowhere. It makes me want to give up, although I am determined not to. I am doing so may things to try and save money, but with figures like that coming out of a budget maybe my money saving is actually COSTING me money?
Hmmm0 -
Managed an elusive No Spend Day today, but just feeling so down in the dumps with my debts. I have always been a 'quick fix' type of person which got me in to this mess in the first place. I am fine while I am actively trying to sort a problem, but pretty rubbish at sticking to a routine.
OH always wants to go out and do things, but I just don't have the money to do that at the moment. He says he will pay for me a lot of the time, but I feel so guilty. I also don't want to end up relying on him all the time.
Need to find my enthusiasm again!0 -

Hi Herewego,
I have signed up for a couple of survey sites but just can't seem to make myself see that its worth doing! They seem to take forever and pay very little. I do a lot of work from home too so spend all day on my laptop, can't find the motivation to do much on there in my spare time!
Excuses won't help though, must buckle down and get it done!
I have no idea where we find enthusiasm! I even treated myself to turning the heating up a degree for an hour this evening to try and cheer myself up0 -
