The bl**y wind has actually blown my shed door IN and broken it and the hinges.
I haven't yet even dared look at the bit of fence broken by the wind a few weeks ago, my neighbour has been really great and not mentioned it yet, but I know that whole section needs replacing and it's going to be a nightmare, not only in huge cost, but in hassle.Every post needs digging out and new ones concreted in.
And it's my fence and he's a great bloke, but he's a pensioner with no money, so even if he wanted to help, he couldn't.
Roll on the summer :rotfl:Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
you may have seen the news this morning with the flooding in the Todmorden/Hebden Bridge area. That's where I am.
I daren't go out to check the garden.
I give up.0 -

Oh gawd no! Go on, be brave and nip and have a look. Hope it's ok. :grouphug:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

Brilliant!
But where did it come from? ... I mean, how does it know you've just put a new pond in? Too clever.0 -

I was brave.
Very very surprisingly all seems ok. Fence had fallen over and there are a few roof tiles in amongst the plants, but everything is just incredibly soggy.
More rain scheduled for tonight.0 -

Woo hoo well done you :T:j all your hard work with the pond has paid off.
I have managed some gardening today but all plant/hedge/tree related, not food...perhaps tomorrow? Oh I did tie my purple/black mange tout up and they're growing nicely with the most beautiful flowers, will get a pic tomorrow :T0 -
Just thought I'd let you all know there's some nice grown up plants in Aldi with fruit on (seriously jealous of their tomato plant, why can't mine look like that!!) and they have reduced their walk in blowaways to £20. For newbies like me it's good
Oh and they had strawberries with PINK flowers? Why did nobody tell me I could have had pink flowered strawberries?!Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -
