Oh well, at least it's all in one place.

    And local, too. ;)
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

I've got a horrible feeling this pond is leaking.

I filled it to the brim on Sunday, and noticed yesterday that it had dropped a bit. I put it down to things settling.

After I adjusted the liner yesterday, I also filled it to the brim, but it's at least 2" lower today. This does not bode well, I fear. :(

Well I had to let the allotment fall through unfortunately, so I'm back to getting every space in the garden rescued from the nettles and made into beds.

Sorry to hear that LE. What happened?

Been wet and miserable most of the day. Matches my mood really.

Fed up waiting to plant things outside and can't do much more inside as I have absolutely no space left.

Pretty much sums me up. I'm now panicking about whether or not the plants indoors are not getting enough light, and so on.

You can't beat a good (pointless) panic!

I put off watering everything yesterday just to give me something to do today!

Unfortunately it wouldn't have worked. I didn't agree with the others as to what makes an allotment. My opinions are based on sound allotment ideas, theirs on appearance. They wanted a hobby allotment, my ideas were more of a food production allotment.
C'est la vie. It's probably better it is this way. I'm not bitter at all, they are all nice people.

6 Pages! since I moved my computer at the weekend and damaged the wireless bit:mad: laying carpets/changing rooms is not good for ones sanity.

And now it's all done, it's done nothing but rain! but I have bought some fresh courgette seeds. This year I'm trying Midnight which is an F1 for pots, so I''m hoping it will take up less space in the ground.

    MBE re your pond.
1.let it drop as much as it wants, where it stops is your possible leak

    2. If you do have a leak, empty pond again..syphon it using the hose pipe then carefully remove liner and look for wet patches of soil/sand to get an idea where it is and patch.

    3. got any old carpet/duvet/blankets you could use under it to form a thicker barrier between liner and stones?......my DS had the same thing happen to him and 2nd time he put old carpet and duvets under.....all freecycled.

    4. Do you have foxes visit? they could have made a few holes or, looking at when you held the liner back to make a lip you used bricks and paving, maybe check those areas for small holes?

    5. Have you had warm sunshine, you'll still get water evaporation even at this time of year, although 2" seems a lot for around 12c

    Or ask you dad;)

    off to catch up......

Can someone please turn off the rain up this end, I've got to get into the shed to get the pots for the tomatoes. It's been horrendous weather up here.

It was dry for a bit during the day, but alas I was at work then by time I got home rain was bouncing off the pavements again.

I believe there is a drought down south, would you like some of our rain? It even flooded the drains in the street again.

Gutted I can't do anything really, could send some rain to fill you pond mbe. You'd never need to worry about a leak (hope it's just setting by the way).

Yes we do have a drought but we also have loads of our own rain thanks, and looking ahead it's daily rain every day for a least 2 weeks.........so in the nicest possible way......keep your rain to yourself please:D
