Enough room to get the mower behind it, and a bit nearer the shed. Don't think I can tuck it in any more than that though.
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

If you can get a mower in that looks fine then.
I net my pond with a net from the 99p store, black one labelled pond net, usually in stock in the summer. Only needs to be over it for a few weeks whilst the trees empty themselves. really does make a big difference to the sludge build up at the bottom.
    Looking good MBE

Oh yes, & hoping Johns op has gone very well & he is recovering very quickly!:)
Thank you. I'm out, a day late, would have been two but they were desperate for beds. Took 5hrs instead of 2 - 2 1/2 but it's over now. Too painful to sit here for long though so I'll have to have little bursts in between guiding my wife round the garden and greenhouse jobs. She's being wonderful. but she hasn't started the 2 weeks driving me around yet. That could be fun. I think not....lol

I keep looking at it. It wants to be about 6" closer to the fence, and 12" closer to the shed, I reckon. :undecided
and maybe a bit deeper ;)

How are you going to anchor the liner? If it's going under the grass then you need to be able to trim the edges of the grass safely. Grass seems to love water and will happily grow out from the soil as a floating shaggy mat if left untended. I'd be inclined to allow more room against the fence. If the ground slips or sinks a bit there, you'll be mowing on a sideways slope towards the pond that's just barely wide enough for the mower. (JMO) :D
If I'm over the hill, where was the top?

I'm somewhat miffed :(. The tomato seedlings I left outside under 3 layers of fleece and a cloche, happily withstood the snow and rain and chill nights we've had this past week, and blow me, a blummin' mouse has bitten off the tops. Not even eaten the leaves, just left them lying on the compost!

Also left behind a couple of sunflower husks and a bit of chewed apple core. Evidently it considered 3 layers of fleece (which also now has decoratively scalloped patches) and a cloche roof a comfy billet in the sleet!

With luck, this time tomorrow it will be an ex-mouse.

It'll be anchored with stone of some description, although I haven't worked out exactly what yet. :o
