Thanks for the kind comments :) I will enquire about the spacer Tilly, as I sometimes end up on steroids too

I still feel lousy though, and got no sleep at all last night, as every time I lay down, I started coughing. However, I did manage to get a couple of hours this afternoon, but have also done some work at home, as I am supposed to be taking part in a team presentation tomorrow. It appears my manager thinks I should go in  I jolly well won't if I still feel like this though - I work way more hours than I am 'supposed' to, which is probably why I feel so ill :( I have done the slides, and if I still feel as bad, my deputies can present them!

It is a shame though, as there is also an external speaker coming in, whom I would have liked to hear.

What with feeling rotten, not much accomplished on the MFW front, although I am not spending anything either, apart from on tissues and cold and flu capsules. OH is going to his London job with the 1am start tomorrow, so has already gone to bed - unsurprisingly, as he doesn't want me coughing and sneezing all over hime, in one of the spare rooms :rotfl:

Right, off to lock up and try to get some sleep.

Hope you're feeling better tomorrow and be kind to yourself - don't go in if you don't feel up to it :).

Thanks GG. I don't feel better, so have let my team at work know that I can't come in :( I hate letting people down, but got no sleep again. I'm sure they would rather not catch whatever this is anyway to be honest, as it is horrible, even without the asthma problems. I don't know where I got it from. Somebody on a train I expect :( My boss won't be over the moon, but I can't help that.

OH has gone to his London job, and won't be back till about 7 this evening, so once I have rearranged my work appointments, I will curl up with the dog and have a nice quiet day. Not sure what the weather will do - it was hot yesterday, but looks overcast this morning. It is only just gone 7 though - I thought it was later than that, as I have been up for so long :rotfl:

My tomato, pepper and aubergine plants want putting in their final big pots, but I think I will have to wait for OH to be around, as I am too short of breath to lug bags of soil around. A job for the weekend I think.

I am too much of a disease factory to do any cooking  either, and despite being so tired, am also starting to get a bit bored :( I will have to see if I have any books I haven't read...

    Feeling a bit better :)

Just as well, as I will need to get back to work tomorrow - it seems there are lots of things to sort out

Sat in the garden this afternoon and shortened the shower curtain from the guest ensuite. I didn't make a brilliant job of it, but I can't imagine we will have guests who minutely inspect the hem of the shower curtain, and if we do, I will make sure not to invite them again :rotfl:

Took the dog for a little wander, and watered the pots in the garden.

A bit worn out now, after all that (not very) strenuous activity :o

    You've shortened it YOURSELF .

Scuttles off to unpack suitcase .

    Glad you're feeling better :T

Thanks GG :rotfl:Not a brilliant job, a bit uneven, but hopefully it won't notice when it is hanging up. I need to get in the cubicle with a shower spray and bowl of hot water and clean the tiles, then I can hang it up. I hope it looks ok - I wouldn't like to have to do it again  I will probably resort to my usual standby, the iron on stuff, if not, though I am not sure if that would work on a shower curtain :o Not a plastic one, obviously (I am not that daft ), but a nice fabric one.

I feel quite a lot better today, went to work and did some sorting out  Much of what I do involves building relationships with other organisations, and it is really annoying when you find out that somebody has p****d them off without you knowing, and undone all the good work :( Still, when I have fully got to the bottom of it I will smooth it over. Honestly, it is like working at the UN or somewhere sometimes, though without the actual missiles

Came back to a lovely surprise - one of OH's posh friends had brought round a bunch of lovely fresh asparagus from his garden, so we had that with our salmon and potatoes instead of a spring cabbage from our, much less posh garden :rotfl:

Gorgeous day today - took a trip out with OH this morning to a sporting auction (yawn, I actually did nearly nod off a couple of times :rotfl:) but the drive was through beautiful countryside, so worth it :) And he spent less than £10 :T

Didn't get a lot else done though :o I was intending to clean the house, put a load of stuff away, plant the tomatoes and other plants out in their big pots, and cook a meal, but didn't actually do any of these things. We did the shopping, stripped the bed and washed and dried the bedding (in the sunshine, obviously) and that was it. A friend rang and invited us over for a bbq then, so we just did that :T

Got home about an hour ago and watched a brilliant firework display from our garden, from an event taking place in the park near us - lots of tribute bands and a funfair, not really our thing, but the fireworks were great, and free :D

So, a good day, though not as productive as I had planned :o

Just made up the bed, so will go and get into it in a minute. I have lots of housework, gardening and cooking to do tomorrow  :p

Got everything done that I had planned to do over the weekend after all :)

A friend of OH's (who was supposed to be coming to see him today) decided to come yesterday afternoon and stay overnight, so stretching of supper was required. I managed this by making a huge salad and a big raspberry cheesecake to fill any gaps left by the rather small main course, as I only had some small pork steaks defrosted and I found out too late to go to the supermarket  All ok though, there was plenty to eat in the end :)

Right, better get ready for work....
