So... why not hire your own professional and give the photos to the EA?
The service of a reasonable photography should be provided by the EAs. I have paid the EA a fee for that already and he said it includes the pix and plan.
I think to day people have to DIY loads of things because fussing does not get anywhere"I'll be back."0 -
Are pics that important, any house I have ever viewed the main thing that interested me was the room sizes, didn't really look at the picsANURADHA KOIRALA ??? go on throw it in google.0

Not all the things are shown in description. The heights are not shown in plans. Room sizes are not clear always, one does not know how big are the windows, and details, brightness or dark are better captured in images. Some people may not like the colour or decor.
Oh dear,.... now I remember the ominous thing the photographer of the EAs had said: "they find hard to get viewers through the door.." I really did not get her because I had a lot to do."I'll be back."0 -
Most London EAs hire professional photographers, that's the cost that is eaten up by their fee in the end (% that you agreed) and you should ask for that.
Wow people don't like wide lens photos? We are laughing at those non-wide lens photos on "have a looks at this" thread, mostly as normal camera lens will just focus on the small part of the room and the photo will look pointless.
If people are expecting to pay London prices for the property then they expect to see well presented photos. We took advantage of buying a badly presented property and got a bargain. I'm sure you don't want that!0 -
Recently sold but had to take our own photographs & send them to agents as theirs did not show property to best advantage
If you want to sell for the best possible price you do what is needed.
We eventually sold for £5000 over the asking price but without the estate agent convincing buyers that our house was very different from the rest of the street they would not have come through the door.0 -
other factors might have contributed as well; location perhapschequers10 wrote: »Recently sold but had to take our own photographs & send them to agents as theirs did not show property to best advantage

Finally, I submitted to to EA my own pictures and a floorplan I did my self and they are now on the site. The estate agent was happy with the pics. This is DIY advertising but something had to be done."I'll be back."0

I'd consider writing to the MD of the EA and stating that you will be requiring a reduction in the sale fees owing to their inability to perform the marketing part of the contract to the required standard - from the trading standards institute website:
"The Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 states that when work is carried out by a trader you can expect it to be done with reasonable care and skill, in a reasonable time for a reasonable charge."0 -

Thanks.
Even after I submitted my photos the EAs delayed to show my property on the main website, I contacted them again and now the property shows after 3 weeks from signing the sale agreement. The EAs apparently have cut down on marketing costs, it is expensive to employ "reasonably satisfactory" skill, and most show borderline quality. Marketing can gain you or loose you money. I think it is an area where a minimum standard should become statutory for ads, at least like floor plans and area.
I know this SGS Act."I'll be back."0 -
The fact the EA might have cash flow problems isn't justification for chucking the SGSA out of the window (as I'm sure you know!)0
