I love Ald! and L!dl and don't care who knows it. I'm lucky in that there are loads of them near me. I buy ds pull ups in there and think they are as good as pampers.Ninja Saving Turtle0

No Aldi near me and I certainly won't drive a round trip of 16 miles to get to nearest one. Lidl close by and I am a proud shopper there! I never have a problem with the quality of their fruit and veg.0

I didn't think Ald! would survive long in our town but there's always someone in the shop regardless of the time I visit. In fact we seem to meet more people we know in Ald! than in our local Morr*son's. We don't have Lid! or poundl*nd or poundstretch*r it would be great to have something like thatSPC No 12 (was 287)
SPC 4 £221.14
SPC 5 £206.11
SPC 6 £153.90
SPC 7 £185.24
SPC 8 Target more than last year0 -
I like seeing the folk who put their Aldi shop into M&S bags.
It's probably just because they make nice bags for life or they were bags they already had at home. I always put my cheapo shopping in a Mr S jute bag just because it's a really nice size and strength.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Lol. Is there such a thing as Aldi reverse snobbery? I am so in love with Aldi that if someone tells me they refuse to shop there a little voice in my head thinks "well you're a twit then!". I regret that I did not shop at Aldi/Lidl sooner. I used to live on value and smartprice ((shudder))

kim - I so totally agree with you - I too love Aldi that I tend to think of Adsa and Tresco shoppers as 'oh dear - dont they KNOW how great Aldi is? and if I had a pound for every time I have endorsed Aldi on here - I would be a rich woman!).
but, word is getting around and my local Aldi is now very busy - a good thing as they are taking on staff - and yes they do get more money - but the contracts are different from the norm in supermarkets.
must work as local Aldi has staff there from when it opened! and I am on first name terms with most of them!0 -
I bumped into my boss in our Aldi tonight. She was hiding behind her trolley in shame, but her husband shouted me over to show her up :-D
There was a porsche in the car park (not hers!).******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -

I do my main shop in Aldi and don't care who sees me shopping there. I bought my bags for life when from Tesco when I used to do my shopping there so I use thesein Aldi. It has nothing to do with snobbery because my insulated bags for life are Aldi ones and I use these no matter where I by my chilled or frozen products from.I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order
