I'd be pleased she complimented the house - add that to the list of questions she asked and it shows she is really interested.

Get on to the EA for an update tomorrow, and come back to let us all know how you get on

    Good luck!!!

She complimented you? In that case she's not interested. Interested buyers kick the tyres and then score points. They want to get the price down. Sorry.

I complimented my seller and still bought! So don't be down trodden by others. Everyone is different.

Hi, a vase of fresh flowers would look nice if you havent got them already.
Twigs in vases are even better, they virtually guarantee a house sale

So did my buyers - they were almost falling over themselves with compliments (I kept thinking they were just being nice!) - but they came back with a full price offer!

Fingers crossed for you! One interest also sometimes sparks another - get your EA to let others know that your house is getting interest! :T (people always want what others want!)

If you are going to offer full price, then it makes sense to be as pleasant as possible, but who offers full price these days?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Same here, I looked at 3 almost identical houses one afternoon on the same estate-and I gushed about this one, and bought it. I was silent in the other 2. ;)
  • Just had feedback from the agent - she 'absolutley loved the house' but unfortunately 'didnt like the area' - they live in the area!

What a bummer! Don't lose hope. My buyer was so enthusiastic then told the EA the house wasn't for them and then 2 days later made an offer. Nowt so queer as folk!

I've viewed houses I've liked and said so. If I don't say anything positive I'm not impressed.
I guess I go by the old adage of if you can't say anything nice don't say anything.

Anyhow, I didn't make offers on the houses I liked purely because the asking price was way too high.

If they didn't like the area perhaps it's because they want to move , but there are still a few things that keep them in the area and therefore moving locally to the right home might have tipped the balance to stay.

I disagree on the compliment issue- unless there is something fundamentally wrong, most kick the tires and score points on the second viewings.

Nought queer as folk - you will never know, if there is nothing wrong with the house but price and a weak market its just perseverance , stay put or plan B.
Stop! Think. Read the small print. Trust nothing and assume that it is your responsibility. That way it rarely goes wrong.
