Ok then one for the bakers
Please tell me if these aren't good offers
Mr T have silver spoon caster sugar 1kg for 99p
Mr S have McDougalls 1.5kg plain/self-raising flour £1.10
That's a brilliant price for the sugar! Half of what I would have had to pay last night (if I had bought it which I didn't):TSealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

When I run out of castor sugar in the past I just used granulated and put it in a pestle and mortar to make the sugar a bit finer.

Ok after saying I wouldnt touch it with a barge pole, could the lady who bought 100 snickers and mars bars post me the link to the seller on Amaz0n (I think it was) as it seems DH has been buying 2 - 4 a day while out at work as he's been getting the shakes  (his mums diabetic but he never tests positive, but gets the bloomin shakes all the time when his sugar level drops) and to make matters worse he's buying them at the garage
So I think this is a speculate to accumulate purchase, am going to pop into c0-op again tonight when I pick DS up from karate and see if they are selling the 5 packs for a £1ish, if so I will grab some of those, but if I can get the link to bulk buy that would be better. He's got another 9 weeks left on this contract and I really ant afford for him to be spending £30 a week on chocolate :eek:SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

lol They might be yummy...in an experimental Heston Blumenthal type fashion.
I've got £14.70 in my second purse now. I'm on my last shampoo/conditioner now so need to stock up on some bargains.0 -
Hi all, doing well with my second purse, made a few mistakes but all in all getting there. I will update my signature in a mo.
I havent posted for a while, I havent had a great week, I get a bit 'quiet' now and again, I put it down to when my thyroid is playing up, there still trying to get my dose right, and i have days where i feel down on myself and feel i have nothing interesting to say so i just browse, Im feeling a bit more upbeat at the moment so here i am :-) wish i felt like this all the time, theres probs loads of you who understand what i mean, a lot of us seem to have more than our fair share of problems :-( hugs to anyone who is not feeling great at the mo
Dont know if anyones mentioned it but morrisons have the branston ketchup on half price for 74p, they still have the cathedral city 350gm mature cheddar for £1.99 Ive got a few and put them in the freezer. Theres other offers as well but my memory is rubbish will try and remember.
If you ever need caster sugar and havent got any, you just need to put the granulated into a food processor for a while, caster sugar is just a finer grade that disolves easier. It explains on this website http://candy.about.com/od/ingredientguides/ht/How-To-Make-Superfine-Sugar.htm It also explains how to make powdered (icing) sugar and other sugars as well
anyone know the best place to get tinned tuna at the mo, my OH and DD eat quite a lot of it and down to 1 tin and I refuse to pay full price these days lolGrowing old is inevitable
Growing up is optional0 -

Aw Lynn I know what you mean about thyroids playing up
mine was removed 2 years ago due to very early cancer and I get knock on effects every now and then. When they get your dose right you'll be right as rain though so just keep your sights on that, it does get better
Thanks for the link re: sugar stuffs I'll have to get involved with some of that actionDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

I've put links on the first post to what I think are the 3 most important forums on this site, the grabbit board, shop don't drop, and food & groceries, so if you load up this thread you can go straight to them
Just like to say thanks to Kerri_dfw and everyone for making this a great thread :T:T:T:T:T
Just a thought, that you also could add the money off coupons thread on the first post too, as this is a great thread to help us all stock pile and spend less money.
For example campbells dried soup is 30p in Mr A less the the 20p off coupon = 10p, and these are great to have in, not only to use as soup, but to add to other dishes for extra flavour.I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.
