If you type the product into there you can look up what prices have been previously, it's an excellent tool. Type in the product in the search box and it brings up rainforest, and 2 third party boxes. It then shows you price fluctuations :) You can then compare the lowest ever price to the current price.

It also allows you to set an alert that will email you when the price drops to a certain amount. So at the moment I have an alert set for when my fabric conditioner drops below £15, although at the moment it'll cost me 1p a wash if I subscribe & save, so realllly tempted to buy now.

ooooohhhhhhhhhhhh right! *runs off to check 1st page*

    Total- £1162.23

    EF- first goal £300
  • Today I have brought my Second Purse up-to-date......currently trying to pay what I owe as I go along, but when cash is in even shorter supply (later in the month) I may need to owe for longer ;)

    Previous SP total £31.80

Spent £10 on diet pepsi which will be paid back at £15

Added £10 for Feb, which puts me back to £31.80

Then I spent £4.00 on kitchen rolls and tissues for Sallys Stores which I will buy back for pretty much the same.

Lastly I BOUGHT from Sallys Stores:-

Dishwasher Tabs bought at £1.00 paid £2.00
Oats & More Cereal bought at £2.00 paid £2.50
Posh Mince paid £2.75 bought for £2.50 oops :o
Mini Diet Pepsi x 10 bought at 17p paid 20p each
Tissues bought at 90p paid £1.00
Wotsits bought at £1.60 paid £2.50

And my Second Purse now has £40.30!! :T

The problem I am having is SPENDING out of the Second Purse, because it feels like a safety raft and I am clinging on to it by my finger tips (at least thats how I feel).

The problem I envisage having is running up a "bill" and not having the cash around to pay SP what it is owed, and then giving up because I cant balance my books!! :rotfl:

Hoping the nice people here will help keep me going though :D

My ME went away, had it for 8 years, its a horrible illness, I wish you better. I still have a poor immune system and catch bugs easily. I had pancreatitis in 2004 and was in a coma for 3 months, wasn't expected to live, but here I am still alive lol.
Crikey - how bizarre - I have M E too - hope one day not to need a sleep in the afternoon - but then thats a small price to pay as to how I used to be with it - It felt like I was sleeping my life away. Just think how much more time I would have for bargain hunting!!

Just caught up on the thread and would say to anyone wondering if to try the Donald Russell meat to give it a go. I have had my 3rd delivery now and have LOVED everything so far, the quality is superb - would definitely recommend.

It seems ive had it since I was 18, I was finally diagnosed at 30  seems I had just been existing and each year we had taken a holiday we couldn't afford was giving me enough of a boost to claw through the next year to the next holiday. When we stopped taking holidays as we decided to deal with the debt my body finally gave up :(. I really did believe that day at work that I had flu and would go back to work the next week :(

Thing I miss most is the ability to walk as far as I want to, walk round the supermarket and reach things on the top shelf, am down to 30 metres now and its getting worse :(

As another inspirational M.E story my sister (38 now) has come out the other side, she still suffers with the bad tum and occasionally has a bad day but she drives all over the place, is on the PTA, works from home, can walk as far as she wants, goes on holidays :T really gives me hope to see her as I remember what it was like when she had the glandular fever and then the M.E started :( my mum used to carry her to the loo and hold her up :(

EDIT: I should say mine started with a 6 month diahoroea illness (yes 6 months ) after eating spaghetti, bacon and melted cheese :( cant eat any of those things now
I had my first ever bout of Flu - then went on to chest infection followed by Pleurisy. Went downhill - down to 7 stone - severely aenemic - saw Consultant - had test for bowel Cancer. Eventually diagnosed with ME - or as my Dr sometimes called it Post Virus Fatigue Syndrome.

I very much like this idea and have sort of given it a go, but I don't think I am doing it quite right.

I have put all my coupons and months food money into one purse. I now frequent Aldi as my main shop, I then look on here and supermarket websites for their bargains and choose my menu's according to whats on offer.
Where I differ is the difference I save on the offers, is then put into a savings account and in three weeks I already have £39.00.

So I started my second purse today putting £10 so now here is the question, if I am using this purse for offers, how do you accumulate money to move to your third purse (savings) or am I going to be just as successful doing it my way.
I know you must be fed up explaining it, but I am determined to get saving, as I have booked a cruise for sept for a big old birthday coming up and need lots of spending money.
I now don't buy anything food or otherwise until I have checked where is the cheapest, this site is becoming my secret guilty pleasure!!!

Its amazing how fast the purse grows. I started in January so am on my 2nd month ie I have put in £20 now of "real" money. I have reinvested the profit in purchases and just done a stock take and have now got £50.67 of stock at cost price, so once I have bought back the stock that will be a whole lot more. In some cases this may take some time - I have 15 tins of baked beans left for example BUT it just goes to show how quickly it takes off. My husband says my stockpile puts costco to shame (hardly!!). I have been around tonight with sticky labels to label the price which I will buy it back - it may look weird to an onlooker BUT I found that somebody in the house had taken a tin of beans - horror - without telling me so I'm hoping the price label might illicit some sort of thought - or at least I'll hopefully notice it when I see the label on the counter!!! I now have a whole £1.14 of cash left in my purse so may need to wait until I've sold something else before I can do some more investing.
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!
