Can I join too please! Despite saving money on the GC it just gets swallowed into the black hole that is my bank account and I need a constructive way of working out how I am actually doing that adds up.
I am going to start with a budget (as declared in the GC) of £500 and a 2nd purse of £20 (but I've got a stockpile of toiletries and catfood), 3rd purse is naturally zero now but I want to get a breadmaker to replace the my old one - the model I have my eye on is about £100. To the greater end I am trying to get enough to become a landlord in order to support my autistic son without having to spend more hours away from home - I need about another £30k but this might be stretching things a little far!

DR order coming on Thursday. Have ordered some more pork chops (8), steak burgers (16) and some pork meatballs (48). Order came to £42 with free p&p. Also get cashback with Quidco - every little helps!

Off to Co$tco on Tuesday with the remainder of my 2nd purse. Just Pep$i max and juice cartons for the packed lunches, plus oa$i$ if on offer. DS1 will buy them at school otherwise and that means ££££ every month

Good luck to all those starting out on their 2nd purse journey. We are all here to help share the joy of 2nd pursing :D:D:D

Used some herbs from the garden in dinner last night (beef stew with herby dumplings) and decided that if I use any of my own produce that really needs to be credited to my second purse as well. (half a packet of fresh herbs is about 35p). So, very excited to be up and running and not even done the first shop of the month yet!

Hi debbym - welcome to this thread, great to have you with us!! :T

£30k is ambitious, but nothing wrong with that......good luck with it!!

Meanwhile, if you stick with SPing, I expect that BM will be yours a lot sooner than you expect :D

    Welcome

Mmmmmm.....dumplings, my favourites!! Good idea to include your fresh herbs in SP......

Mmmmmm......think I might have some chives lurking in a pot somewhere in the wreck that calls itself MY garden :rotfl:

    Thank you Coxy11!! :D

My 3rd Purse is being VERY generous just lately!! :j:rotfl::j

It is still such a thrill for me to have some spare cash floating around, I just LOVE SPing :T

I have big feet AND arthritis in my toes, so buying shoes is never easy......I just nipped in a local Sho* Z*ne shop on the off chance and they had some 9's on display.

Tried them on and they fitted, tried to decide which ONE pair to buy and then thought, hang on......3rd Purse has pennies and next thing I knew, I was out of the shop with 4 pairs ;)

Ha! Good for you, if the shoe fits etc......

I had a similar experience a couple of weeks ago. Been married 15 years this month, 3 kids, etc. etc. and never had an eternity ring :( Never the right time to spend the money, and my engagement ring is 3 diamonds in a rub-over setting so quite unusual. Don't normally see eternity rings with this setting - usually claw set. So imagine my surprise (delight) when I passed our local independent jeweller and there it was in the window - THE RING OF MY DREAMS. It has 3 x round diamonds and 6 x baguette diamonds all in a rub-over setting, and in 18ct gold like my engagement/wedding rings. I made a quick phone call to DH (landline and mobile) and he didn't pick up, so....I bought it :D:D:D:D That was an expensive phone call to miss :rotfl:
