I'll be honest, I must have read the first post at least ten times since this thread was started and I still don't have the faintest idea what's going on. Am I really that thick or does anyone else just not get it?

You're are in good company if you are, because most of us struggled with the concept at 1st, but once you start, it suddenly becomes very clear! :T

I wrote a very very basic example a page or two back, see if that helps at all:-

    Example:-

    SP has £10 float.

You see your fave cereal for 1/2 price and pay £1.00 out of your SP.

SP now has £9 and you have a packet of cereal in your shop.

When you need to open a new box of cereal, you take it from YOUR shop and not a supermarket and pay yourself the usual supermarket price of £2.00.....

So £1.00 goes to SP to bring you back up to your balance of £10 and the £1 "profit" goes in 3rd Purse.

    That's how I do it.

Some people keep putting profit into SP until it gets to the level they want but I am too impatient! :rotfl:

Good for you jakes-mum, you definitely deserved something you wanted from your severance pay! :T

A meat slicer is on my list of wants too :)

I opened a tiny tin of ham at the start of the week, have been slicing it thinly for sarnies (instead of my usual hacking away) and it is still going strong!!

So your slicer will SAVE you money in the long term :D

Right, I have decided my new 1/2 price Yankee Candle hoard will be my 1st 3rd Purse luxury pressie to myself :j

They are safely stored in my cupboard under the stairs and should last me a good year so I am reasoning £1 a week is acceptable for a treat ;)

I look after 2 year old DGS full time and he is exhausting, so when he goes home, I put fresh flowers in a pretty vase on my coffee table and light a scented candle.....and relax.....

It is my bit of indulgent ME time :D

This is what DH said too :) worst thing for us is that I like wafer thin ham and he likes 'a bit of meat with all that bread' so theres the SM battle of whos going to have cac meat this week (normally him :rotfl:) so this way we can both have what we want :D. We priced up uncut meat in Mr T a few days ago and a 500g pack was the same price as a 420g of wafer thin so even with him having thicker slices I shouldnt pay any more money :T:T

Jakes-mum, you will love your slicer - I have one and it's fab for gammon/ham and also chicken. I cooked one of Aldi's frozen chicken breast joints a couple of weeks ago when I had a voucher to make it half price (£1.50) and got loads of slices for sandwiches. It would have cost that much for about four slices pre-packed.

Hi Little K, welcome to the team!

You've probably all seen on the grabbit thread, but thought I'd just point this out for anyone that needs to stock up on dental products. Some people have a coupon for 250 points when you buy 3 dental products in the ACM at shoes, if you buy the essentials range (or the aquafresh toothpaste that is half price) you can get 3 products for around £1.50, as well as having 250 points added to your card.
