IF you delete some of the text you are quoting be careful not to remove the [QUOTE*usersname*NUMBER] that is at the front as that makes a text box of whatever is between it and theat the end
Talking of strange gifts, I finally knew DH had got it this christmas just gone when I ripped the paper off . . . a 4 drawer industrial grade storage box :T. Ooooo did I squeal with delight over that, it has individual drawers with their own lockable lids and each draw has different sized removable cubbies :j. Now to most people this would be a vey strange gift, but to anyone whos a crafter like me . . . .

Grr how I wish I could get away with branston beans  but every time ive tried I get 'eww! these aren't heinz!' :rotfl: Even hid the can once to see if he was just saying it, but nope he knew :rotfl:
Oooo yes please for the el paso kits, I have an Aldi close by, only need the taco's as dont buy the fajita kits because DS cant eat them (he wasnt pleased, he loved enchiladas
)
Well no taco's in Aldi, but Heinz beans were £2.48 for 6 (in a multi pack 6 for the price of 4). Not sure if that's a good price?
They also had 200g of Nescafe Gold Blend for £4.99 - might be of help to someone
Wow, acl2009 - you've done really well in a month!! To get over £140.00 of stock is amazing. I've just about got £200 worth, but it's taken be a couple of months to get there. It's soo addictive this SP'ing:T0 -
Haven't needed to buy many things this month so balanced up yesterday and added another £11 to my third purse!! That's me up to £49.75/£100

Hiya
I hadn't realised till now we were in MAY lol.
So I've balanced my purses.
I started off with £200 total 1st Purse budget for May.
1st purse
I spent £21 on perishables, from the balance of £44.84 leaving £23.84
Total in 1st Purse £223.84
2nd Purse
25 days at £3 per day for food we ate from the freezer = £75 + £50 for items used from stock + Aprils £10.
I owe 2nd Purse £135 There was £42.24 in 2nd Purse bringing my balance up to £177.24
3rd Purse
I'm transferring the £77.24 to my 3rd Purse bringing my 3rd Purse total up to £200.94
1st Purse £88.84
2nd Purse £100.00
3rd Purse £200.94
What this means in real terms is my 1st Purse Monthly total spend is averaging around £50 per month for milk + perishables. Considering my total Grocery budget for May is £200 after paying the 2nd and 3rd purse what I owe, I still have most of that money spread over the 3 purses.
My freezers , cupboards are bulging. And I have Dr meat coming up until October.
Considering I spent £500-£600 per month before I joined MSE. I did the 2nd + 3rd Purse as well, but wasted £300-£400 per month in items we really didn't need.
My ISA's now have £5,900 in them ( not in SM's coffers as in previous years), I put £200 per month in the ISA's.
The other £200 or so had to go towards our increased utility bills etc.
I hope this inspires you all to stick with the pursing system
1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:
2nd Purse ££100Fridge Freezer £300 3rd Purse /£290.940 -
Wow Mothership you're almost at your fridge freezer! I need to do a stocktake, but hopefully should be able to fill up my SP when I do

I've decided what I'm going to use my third purse for

I do cardmaking (and love it!! There's a link to my blog if you click on my name so you'll see what kind of things I do) and have joined a Stampin' Up club where I buy a certain amount of craft products monthly. They have launched a new kit which is £99 with a RRP of £175+. I saw a link to it yesterday and couldn't think how I would afford it but thanks to 2nd purse I'm halfway there

I have posted this on the Grocery board, but thought it might be useful for Second Pursers who dont have the time to check it.
£1.80 Tissues For 48p!
I was in my little local Tesco Express which NEVER has any of the glitches everyone else gets!
Tesco Mansize Tissues 100 x 2 ply were showing as reduced to 96p.....proper printed label, not like a locally produced one.
http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Produ.../?id=272022914
I bought 2 boxes and they went through at 48p a box! :T
They had 2 different types of packaging on the shelf, the ones in the link above are the ones I bought and the bar code
ends 909451.
Hope that helps someone who gets through as many tissues as I do!
And before you say it, nope, I would never have paid £1.80 for them either :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I always buy back tissues from SP at £1.00, regardless of what I paid, so for me it's a quick way to double my money!

Went off to Mr T's today but was very disappointed by things I could put in my stock cupboard. Did get some fajita kits 1/2 price, fl0r@ 2 for £2, and some T€tley tea bags which were 100% extra free - 160 for price of 80. I'm now well and truly stocked up on tea bags!
Also did my good deed for the day as when I was picking up the tea bags a lady next to me was about to pick up their "special offer 160 T€tley for £3" so told her if she got the 80 with 100% extra free packs, it was only £1.80 for 160. Gave my halo a little polish after that!!MFW £190,450/£141,1400
