Very pleased with my Mr C shop today, you had to spend £30 to get the 15% discount, so I bought:
Large beef joint (back on 3rd off) - £8.64 (7.35 after discount, big enough to cut into 3 :j)
2 x 160 Tetley Tea Bags - 2 for £5 (4.25 after discount)
8 x Foxes Classic - £1.49 BOGOF (64p a pack after discount)
2 x I Cant Believe Butter - £1 (85p after discount)
I also had a coupon for £2 off a £5 spend on fruit and veg so after discounts, coupons and 2nd purse buys, I onlyspent £4.82 out of my grocery budget :j :jSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

My Oh was going over Asd@'s way again today so... I went with him to get more of the juice I got yesterday, its absolutely delicious, I found a few packs of different herbs and was just heading towards the checkout when I suddenly saw the SOUP My OH loves it.
Anyway my new rule... To save on petrol, I visit any supermarkets I shop in if I'm passing the door.
I went to the Newly refurbished Morris@ns for plants for the bowling club this morning. I can honestly say its the best supermarket I've ever seen, the range of fresh veg has to be seen to be believed. Looking forward to any YS from there lol.1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:

Hi fellow 2nd pursers!
Settled up with Cazco last night for items used during the week.
I went to MrC after school as their website says they have Wot$its and Quaver$ 12 packs BOGOF at £3.65. I picked up one of each but the lady on the till said I couldn't 'mix' the offer, I had to have either/or. Kids chose quaver$ but I have emailed them to see why this is the case. If it's a joint offer then you should be able to have any combo (I know this sounds petty, but my children only have crisps once a week so SOME variety is needed!).
Have placed an AF order for loads of snacky bits, plus teabags and rice. We are away for a few days during the second week of the holidays - self-catering - so these will come in handy for packed lunches etc. £15 of the order is going into Cazco so I will only be adding an additional £5 to the purse tomorrow instead of the usual £20.
Have had a look on MrT's website for offers and they have Pep$i max, 8 can packs on BOGOF £3.99. This is my fave so I'm going to buy 4 packs of 8 (seeing as Co$tco didn't have any on Tuesday for the second time GRRR). They will cost the 2nd purse roughly 25p a can but I will buy back at 40p each to curb my addiction :rotfl:
They also have chicken breasts HP at £3 so I will get 4 packs to add to my meal plan for April. Mini M@x cereal HP - will get 4 - as this is a hit with DS's and packs of jelly sweets for our trip to the Lake District.
Sorry for the ramble, but I have a renewed enthusiasm for the 2nd Purse now payday is here!Cross-stitch WIP: Haberdashery Shop Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 17/25 Currently reading The Ghost Fields by Elly Griffiths0 -
Good evening SP-ers.
I'm getting very excited that tomorrow is payday and I can start my SP properly! I've created a stockpile already from buying offers this week, and while it might technically count as cheating, I'm not going to include what I've spent this week as money out of SP as I've told myself it's not stating until April!
SP will start with a budget of £25.00 tomorrow. I've got my physical SP ready to go and after a trip to the bank tomorrow morning I will have my little envelopes with each weeks shopping budget in them. Spreadsheets are all ready to go and DH has been briefed that he can not touch anything on the bookcase that I've cleared and set up as my shop without telling me!
Here's to a good first month SP-ing! I just need to think of a shop name now :undecidedMFW £190,450/£141,1400 -

I went on a late afternoon 1st date yesterday (get me :j !!) and on my way home, wandered into Lidl for gorgeous granola and yogurt and thought I would check little Tesco Express for YS......good move!
I bought large Pizza Express pizza for 75p from £2.50. Cheesy Pasta bake for 85p. Finest Lincilnshire sausage and mash ready meal for 95p from £3.64 (how much?????) and a Covent Garden soup for 55p.
My freezer was already full to bursting, but as I have all the family round for Sunday lunch, I was able to move the YS pork joint I got the other week out, to make space for the new stuff.
Mostly I cook from scratch but a couple of days I am going to DD's to look after DGS and by the time I get home, I am worn out so a few ready meals in the freezer will come in handy.
And yet again I am reminded that I have ALWAYS wanted a chest freezer........wonder where I could fit one in???:D0 -

I also do it a new tab each month so that the list doesn't get too long. Like you say it is very messy and would love to know if there is a way of keeping it a bit more tidy, but maybe there isn't a way and it is just one of those things. Thanks HP for your help:T:T
I will happily email it to you - the original is in excel
I'm going to try and work on a macro in the near future that should keep things much nicer. I'll be doing it as and when I can but will share it on here whenever I get there
