I've placed another order with approved foods and have loads of toilet roll coming :rotfl:! It was £2.75 for a 9 pack which i thought was ok :T and i always miss out on the 1p bargains every one seems to talk about
!
I've used the money from my £15 but also from my grocery budget as it came to £50i need to get a hang of not going mad now on every bargain i see :rotfl:Will still put it in the stock pile although i will take this month's usage out for 'free' as i have used grocery budget to pay for it :rotfl: but from next month will start buying it back! (next month being march now as this is feb's budget i am spending!)
Ooooh and the washing gel i bought was £4 from tesco, reduced frmo £8.49. On my supermarket & tesco website was advertised as 54 washes. Lo and behold i get to the supermarket and the one they have out is 42 washes. I'd have never have thought to check before but this time i did and i worked out i have lost £5.40 & 48 washes through their mis-advertisingcalled up and complained and am getting a gift voucher back for the sum owed! So each wash will cost me 7p :T like they advertised! rather than the 10p that they were actually selling!

Morning all, well my 2nd purse is about to go into overdraft
I have agonised over this all night, sad I know but Butchers 12 tins offer at Mr S's end today and it's a profit (to me) of £1.68, so I'll be blowed if I'm gonna let them b's have it. Good news is I will be back in profit by the end of the week
I have noticed size of packets lately and did wonder if it was a conspiracy by the SM's to dupe us all, prices are yo-yo-ing like crazy as well
I too love this thread, its now my first port of call in a morning :j:jDebt Free Diary - Second Chances! Life in a Tourer........Debt free, building a savings pot0 -
Morning, either big and bold with the offers or pm me, I'm not too fussy :-) mr c put me off them yesterday with their expensive ordinary prices I was looking at the leaflet going "that's not an offer... I can get that cheaper... I've never seen that at that high price" lolDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

I've started checking everything online first to work out what's a good per whatever measurement price. Even trying to buy mushrooms loose or packaged is hard work these days :-(Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

I think as I become more and more thrifty I'm also going to loathe actual SM prices especially with how they change from price per 100g to per kg and then switch sizes. But for now that's the price I'm setting as it's what I was spending before I got all thrifty. I would never spend £1 on beans though, so if it gets that bad in the SM then I'll stick my prices at something more reasonable.
Not 30 packs, 30 tinsI don't have space in the wardrobe for 120 tins hehehe
Thank Goodness for that LOL I was getting worried you were going too far :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Thats exactly where I am re- SM tactics, well at least this way you get the satisfaction of playing them at their own game LOL, yer using their buying power to feather your own nest. I was spending around £600 a month on groceries at one point, the food that was wasted was unbelievable, with everyone having different meals every night. I fell deeply into their web. This forum was a godsend, the GC was a great help kicking the habit. We really DONT need 3/4 of the stuff they sell. I don't buy SM meat anymore, tasteless mush, now that I've discovered a way to afford DR meat, it has made such a difference. I Buy M&S Oakham chicken and sausages, but was recently surprised by an ALDI chicken I got for £2.79 very nice.
I'm really looking forward to the challenge, emptying the 3rd Purse was a good thing, its taken my cushion away, and it has made me sharper if there are bargains to be had I will sniff them out LOL. My daughters call me a bargain seeking missile.

I've now put a "going, going, gone" section on the first page, and a "one day only" one, so if I spot any grabbits I'll put them there until I notice they're goneThey're in a different colour to the others. I forgot to do Mr M and Mr A updates last night, naughty me didn't realise they were monday too oops. Will do that when I get home
