I've started checking everything online first to work out what's a good per whatever measurement price. Even trying to buy mushrooms loose or packaged is hard work these days :-(
Shopping takes me so much longer than it used to because I spend most of the time scouring shelves, picking stuff up, putting it back down, muttering about that I can get things cheaper somewhere else, re-checking prices on the 'net as I walk round lol
My sister always gives me her Xmas food shopping list because I'm apparently far superior at locating bargains!Think I may work on 'Credit' and pay second purse on a weekly basis
That's what I'll be doing I think. If I can't get credit in my own store there's something wrong somewhere! :undecided0 -

If you can buy a small selection of stuff with your £10 especially for the first few months, your wee shop will have a better selection of things you normally buy from the SM every week.
Don't be tempted to buy too many of one thing unless you can afford it. Just imagine me beside you saying HOLD,HOLD, HOLD!
I pay my bill at the end of the month, you don't have to pay as you take the item. Imagine the SM's letting us do that LOL.1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:

Now I remember someone mentioning thirst pockets on here and have just been to my £1 shop and they have packs of three for . . . you guessed it a £1 :rotfl: not sure if previous poster was on about a pack of 3 or a pack of 4 but either way still a good price . . not good enough for me though, I bought their cheapy 4 pack for a £1 instead :rotfl:
That is a better offer. Mr M was 92p for 2, and I think Co-op was a couple of pence more.:jDebt Free By Xmas 2013 #010 £16,660.26/£16,660.26 100% paid, DFD 25/06/13!:j0 -
ok i have figuresdout a way to do this on my iphone budgetting app - the thought of note books and spread sheets was stressing my out but now I am 'on it'!! So starting next month 1st feb £20 to the second purse for whoopsies and stocking up.
Not sure yet if I can ind the money form somewhere else or if it will have to come from the main gorcerries buget for now but we will see!People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Mr C is 99p for 2, just checked their website as I knew I saw it on the leaflet last night
I'm only paying my 2nd purse as I go because it's virtualYesterday I transferred £3.96 out and £0.64 in hehe I wanted to keep the transactions so they tallied with my spreadsheet. However, I do work in front of a computer all day so I have no excuse for not logging onto banking

I've just opened up an online saver account but with a cash point card. I'll transfer my £10 over and any payments for spends online but will then withdraw the cash before each shop to make bulk purchases. Means I will always end up with a bit of change in my physical second purse, as well as what's in the account but the occasional walk to the bank to pay it in will do me good, I'm sure:jDebt Free By Xmas 2013 #010 £16,660.26/£16,660.26 100% paid, DFD 25/06/13!:j0 -
