It took me 6 months to 'break' that habit, the GC helped, and opening the ISA. I'm still in shock that I've not only managed to do it , but feel sick that I let my shopping addiction go unchecked for so long. I squandered away all the money I saved with the 2nd Purse.
I 'nearly' bought another Le Creuset Pot yesterday, Even though it was half price , I managed to resist. I just thought of all of you and I managed to walk away. So thank you, all of you.
Sorry about the posts i'm having to type a short message and post it quick or it disapears LOL, then edit it.1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:

I needed milk and frozen chips and thought I would go to the local little shop to save being tempted to buy more than I needed at a proper supermarket.......
But ended up spending nearly £5  on just those 2 items and a packet of jelly tots for toddler grandson
So back to staggering to the big shops for me!0 -

Yep little bit of me too, I can remember times that I have tried to be good in the SM's and NOT bought it even if it has been on offer because I have spent too much already, only to run out 4 days later and buy it at full price  How stupid is that :rotfl:Debt Free Diary - Second Chances! Oooh Onken big pots of yoghurt are 2 for £2.30 in mr W, I'm going to toddle down there and see if I can find some in my fave flavour, not had any brekkie in ages as I won't eat it without yoghurt and I've not found any deals *sniggers*

I may not be a 2nd purser but I have often seen your thread pop up and I thought this might be of interest to any parents of young babies
Asda seem to have decided to put a whole load of baby food on "Reduced to Clear". This is not near the end of its shelf life. Far from it, most of it is good til into next year. This is a perfect opportunity to stock up even if your baby is only just starting on solids.
It was mainly Organix Jars (seemed to be every single jar in the range) but there are other products as well such as Ellas Kitchen/Little Angels/Goodies
I've listed below everything that I got on my trip today. Its worth going to your local Asda to look for the below and also for the countless other things that were also reduced (although most other things were reduced to 60p or so which is still good value, but not GREAT value)
I decided to leave the more expensive items as I still have a lot of Organix stocks that I got from Tesco for 20p ish (see my other thread here for details about Tesco baby food reductions)
Todays finds in Asda include:
Organix Vegetable & Chicken Sunday Lunch
120g jar BBE 28/2/13
From 4 months
10p
Organix Butternut Squash & Root Veg
120g jar BBE 27/9/13
From 4 months
14p
Organix Cottage Pie and Butternut Squash
120g jar BBE 23/8/13
From 4 months
14p
Organix Wholegrain Rice, Chicken & Apple
120g jar BBE 8/8/13
From 4 months
22p
Organix Apple & Mango with Oaty Yoghurt
190g jar BBE 14/9/12
From 7 months
11p
Ellas Kitchen Nice Rice Just For Me
Box of 4x25g boil in he bag rice BBE Jan 2013
stage 2 (7 months)
29p (that's 7.5p per bag!!)
Little Angels Organic Fruit Medley with Rice
190g pouch BBE 30/6/12
stage 3 (10-12 months)
40p
I hope that helps someone out. Finding all this certainly made my dayApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
