    Awwww feel all cwtchy now:grouphug:

You are all an inspiration and I too wish we all lived close by - imagine the natters we could have then.:D

You have had me thinking tho, so went to last 6 months statements of cc (that's all they will allow me to go back) and looked at SM spends andit averaged out at £375.75 per month. Not as bad as I thought as really did think I was spending around £5/£600 pm, but still £125 off my budget of £250. This now makes this figure seem doable and with the 2nd purse I will make some money too. I have started putting my profit straight into 3rd purse (sorry can't remember who says that do that) and already have £23.19 and it now is beginning to make sense, so thank you for that.:T:T:T:T

Not 2nd pursing news, but went through Martin's newsletter last night and I:

    - Brought £100 worth of plants for £14.94;)
    - Signed up to Lovefilm and got £15.50 cb with a £20 next voucher (will cancel once first month has been paid);)
    - Made a note to get a couple of mags to get nice free gifts;)

Just a final wee note to say thank you to everyone on here - I LOVE YOU ALL!

I managed to get two tubs of whipping cream for 49p each, I'm going to have a go at making butter from them , I'm hoping it will work. Will let you know .

I made a big batch of scones with my own butter and buttermilk, DD1+2 got a share of them. I also made a huge pot of lentil soup with some ham ribs, to use up some of the veg I had , it was yummy. I gave my DD2 some soup for her tea when she finished work, and some ribs , just got a text to say the baby ate all the ribs LOL.

I also got a few whoopsied custard tarts for 19p total spend £1.17 LOL.

It's quite shocking really, the SM's had £4989 off me last year. I am aiming for £3640 this year on GB challenge.
I look at last year spreadsheet of expenses and I just keep muttering OMG again and again. What a waste
It also has a knock on effect on everything else too, I am thinking twice about spending anything at all, OH said he needed a new back box for car and it made me feel so angry :rotfl::rotfl: Can't tape do!!!!!!

    Love you too :j

:eek::eek: I dont believe you! if you didnt live inside it how am I talkin to you all :rotfl::rotfl:

I think this should be the new challenge, no-one is allowed to spend more than £12.50 per week per person, and no you cant class a cat as a person, they dont eat 3 times a day :rotfl::rotfl:

My car battery is sat in a box by my front door, delivery driver was highly amused at Miss Lily and I squealling 'its a car battery eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek'

Head isnt sure what it wants to do, it doesnt hurt but I can feel its trying to decide whether it wants to hurt or not, got a right wooly head on today :o

    Lol :rotfl:.

Glad your head is wooly and not concussed - I was worried so relieved to read this morning that you were OK. Hopefully it will be less wooly tomorrow.

As for the mini-challenge I've just got a few questions - does the budget of £12.50 per person per week include lunches (packed etc) as well? Does it include toothpaste, cleaning products etc or is it just food? I've managed to cut my weekly spend from £100 to £75/£80 and think I could get it down a bit more though not sure I could manage as low as £50 yet - I'm kind of working my way towards it gradually :rotfl:. But I think I'll give it a go once I understand what it includes.

One irritating thing today - I didn't get 600g of Weetos for £1.99 yesterday at Mr L cos Mr T's deal of 500g for £1.25 was better - then today when I went to Mr T they didn't have any left :(. It's not that I need them straightaway but I wanted to stock up while they were cheap and my 2nd purse is bursting with cash (well over £20 anyway - makes me feel rich :)).

Oh my days Sue, when you work it out annually really makes your think, doesn't it:( I thought £375 pm average spend over the last 6 months wasn't too bad, but when you work it out over the year it equates to £4509!:eek::eek:

Am really going to try and stick to my £250pm budget now:rotfl::rotfl:

  • I know what you mean about the spending SueP19 - I'm there thinking 'why does such and such have to run out again' and 'I'm going to do without it until it's on offer'. I'm also thinking of repairing my lounge cushions (I'm saving for new ones with 3rd purse) - I reckon I could put new linings on 2 to stop the feathers coming out and replace the zips as they are broken. One cushion is actually ripped but I'm sure I could buy a small piece of decent material quite cheap and use the existing cushion pad. All this would probably cost me about £20 instead of £80 I'd originally budgeted :).

Mrs Adicted to Spending why not have a go at making new cushion covers ? Its easier than you think. They can be made without zips too. I will write out instrucrions for you if you want to have a go.

I started puting the money the SM's used to get into an ISA, ( see earlier posts today )as you watch the savings grow it really hits home when you realise how much control the SM's have over us.

Thanks for the recipies elizabunny, did anyone see the hairy bikers make the strawberry and black pepper scones? i might try them . Next time I get strawberries.

I'm still having probs with posting , its easier to edit a post .

Ooooooooooooops!! I just pressed the wrong button and deleted my original post instead of saving my edit. Can't do all that again. Think I'd better give up for tonight.

PS Sorry I didn't get that Coffee and Walnut Cake ready for Next Day Delivery:rotfl:
