Second Purse Challenge 2012

Regards the freezer pack prices, I find it best to price against what I would have bought otherwise. I don't think it would be impolite to ask - but maybe not one for when there's a huge queue behind you. A good local butcher is worth his weight in gold and I envy you for having one!
My old butcher used to be ever so helpful; he taught me how to bone and joint a chicken and used to give me soup bones and sharpen my knives free of charge. He knew I was on a budget and would tell me what was cheap and how to cook it.
Then he retired and his son took over. He stopped selling 'proper' meat and started selling pre-packed 'exotic' meats (kangaroo, ostrich and crocodile) instead. He said that shopping in a proper butcher's these days was more or less like going to a theme park, so he might as well make a lot more money selling novelties.0 -

I bought a few things from my second purse today from Mr T.
Lenor 1.4 litre fabric conditioner, normally £3.37 now £1.68 -£1.00 voucher = £0.68 paid.
Fairy apple washing up liquid £1.00 - £1.00 voucher = FREE x 2
Oral B toothpaste, normally £2.49 now £1.24 - £1.00 voucher = £0.24 paid.
All the above vouchers were from facebook Mission Control if anyone is interested. I have loads more to use up.
I will pay back the second purse full price when I use them.

If you go onto fb and type in either mission control or supersavvyme and basically you have to post tips and for this you earn stickers which give you money off vouchers for various items mainly £1 off f*iry, fl*sh or f*breze, £1 off ar*el, b0ld, l*nor or f*iry non-bio, £1 off or*l-b toothpaste, power brush or replacement heads, £1 off T*mpax or Alw*ys, £1 off Dur*cell batteries. I think you can choose which SM either Mr T or Mr S.
There are also some beauty vouchers £1 off M*x F*ctor, Ol*y from Shoes :-)
This morning I have bought 2 x L*nor, 2 x F*iry liquid, 1 x Or*l-B toothpaste, 1 x fl*sh spray with bleach and instead of £7.60 paid £1.60 so stores for second purse are filling nicely with huge profit

TraceyOfficially debt free :j0 -
Is there anyway to have the vouchers sent out? My local Mr T does not accept printed vouchers after one individual abused the dtd voucher system last year. Is it possible to get these vouchers sent out, or does Mr S accept printed vouchers?Comping wishlist for 2017

Finding a small bit of time for a crafty hobby is really sound advice
You didn't lower the mood, so don't fret, that's what we are here for :grouphug:
Thanks SueI do quite a lot of crafty stuff usually - sewing, baking, cross stitch, etc. but guess I've not made much time for it recently so must. First day back at work since Wednesday so am a little on edge but better for a couple of days away.
Can someone tell me where to find the lucky boxes on AF, or is this something that just comes up on occasion?
Also, want to do my DR order this evening but not sure if I should be referring someone at the time that I place my order....can someone please advise?
Good news is that OH and I booked our honeymoon at the weekend so we're off to the Maldives in June for 2 weeks :j Now to figure out how to pay for it.....:rotfl:

Just been back to C0-op and went a bit OTT
ended up with 10 more packs of Mars Bars
Also bought 10 more jars of Curry Sauce as they have a lovely long date on them and the boys like to have curry once a week so 14 jars will only last me 3 months . . . maybe I should go back and buy some more
Have had to donate another £10 to 2nd purse for this and buy 3 jars sauce back straight away, but on the whole happyalso bought a few 4 packs of other chocolates and will offer them to DS at 40p a bar, I reacon he'll haggle with me for a lower price but will buy them in the end :rotfl:
