  • Forgot to say that the thing I LOVE about SPing, is having a few quid stashed away so that when I see a great bargain (like the Comforts for 25p when you use the 75p voucher), I can rush out and hopefully buy it.

I used to see loads of bargains, but I never had any spare money so couldnt actually buy them when I saw them!!
  • Oops my post above crossed with fozziebeartoo's.

My AF order arrived and some of it came twice! I called AF to tell them (I know some people would just keep quiet, but I'd feel too guilty!) And they said to keep it! So my price per unit for biscuits, pasta and milk just halved! It's the second time I've had to call AF and I am just so impressed with their customer service.
  • Hi, can you let me who is the next person I need to contact with my details for referal to DR.

    Thanks
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

    Weight loss 3 stone :D
  • Still struggling to get 2nd purse into credit, but I CAN'T turn down offers like - Co-op 4 x Salmon fillets, were £7.50 down to £3.75 whoopsied to £1.59!!!! I'll take all 3 packs please :) So that's £22.50 worth (would never pay that tho') for £4.77.

Will update sig later. Lovely to see that we still have new people joining - I feel so evangelical about it, we should shout it from the rooftops!

I PMd my details to dreamerbea last night so as soon as I get the email from DR I'll have a look and budget in a small order. I'm sure I could stretch to some mince or something and then order some more stuff when I get paid :)

I have had an email from DR so hopefully you have too

    Hi everyone - yippee it's Friday :j:j:j:j:j

Well came home to my first order from AF and I have to say I am impressed. I ordered the lucky box for £1 and inside I got -

    400g Quality Street
    100g box of chocolate hearts
    250g of Fox's Favourite biscuits
Kleenex Hygiene kit (little pot of antibacterial spray and 2 pocket size packets of anti-viral tissues
    1 T-Zone facial cleansing bar
1 small bag (the size you buy in a pub) of pork scratchings
    90ml of Monster energy drink
    2 bars of Toffee Crisp
1 bar of 2 finger Twix
    1 bar of Ripple
    1 small bar of Galaxt
    2 small chocolate biscuits

All the BB dates have passed, but as they are Best Before still okay to eat

Thought that was £1 well spent.:D

My DR order came today as well and was delivered 10 minutes after I left the house, so was a bit concerned that it was all going to be defrosted before I got home, but no, everything still frozen and looking lovely. Can't wait to order again, when I shall get my recommendation gift (got £21 worth of meat) and also have had an email giving me 20% of my next order. Not sure if I can give you the code or if this is just to me - if someone could advise me on this I would be grateful, and if I can share the code, I most definitely will :T

Now to update my spreadsheets and put all the stuff away in Munnimart and the freezer :D

ps just worked out that my £1 lucky box amounts to approx £16:T:T
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying!:rotfl:

    June GC - £352.04/£350
    SP challenge 3P £171.28:j:j:j

  • Ohh - I'm going to have to look into that luck box thingy....

I'm a bit disappointed - went to Mr M to buy a few bits for the house and couldn't find any bargains for Helen's Hideaway :(

Also didn't spend enough to get the 15p off fuel voucher, but there really wasn't much on offer.

    xx

Anyway, ultimately she says it's stress and that I should consider making changes in my work life. Easier said than done when there are bills to pay, but hey-ho. Also suggested that I take up a hobby outside of work...again with little knowledge of the fact that I physically can't do that because I'm too blooming tired. Gave up having a life many years ago....

    :A

I started suffering migraines about 8 years ago, it got to the point that I had a migraine from Sat morning til Sun evening. They then became so bad at work that I was force to see the GP.........(a locum) He told me that there was nothing I could do, it was long term stress and I had to either give up work or go on her@in, yes I did say h$roin. I left feeling shattered, then by accident I discovered bear making (sewing) I just seem to get lost in the monotonous rythem. Eventually the migraines subsided and I only have one now and again, they are my safety valve, I always know when I am too stressed and need to loose myself in creativity. I too had an awful boss, who practically got sacked last year, work has been so different now and the things that have come out since she has gone has been jaw dropping, we have gone through a time of healing and tears. So take heart things don't always last forever.

Finding a small bit of time for a crafty hobby is really sound advice

You didn't lower the mood, so don't fret, that's what we are here for :grouphug:
