helen i hope the doctors went ok today?
Polka dot is that the co$tco at lakeside you go to then? I used to have to do that tunnel/bridge 3-4 times a week a year or so ago as i live in essex and my uni was in new cross! nightmare! I was thinking of joining that co$tco- i think it's my nearest. But wasn't sure if it would be worth it. It takes me around 50-60 mins to get to lakeside so it's usually a special trip occassion!
NSD for me todayso no bargain hunting lol

Polkadot - go girl! go girl! dance::dance::dance:
Helenpie - Don't let her get you down, and don't feel guilty about it either. I realised long ago that in a lot of workplaces, most people think that anyone who is off sick are swinging the lead - so as long as you know you are not, that is all that matters. Take time off to de-stress and recover, your health is much more important than anything else - take care :heartsmil
Can I ask another question about the 2nd purse system please? I am now starting a brand new month today, paying in cash. The good news is that after 'balancing' the books I have £25.18 in my 2nd purse:j:j - still haven't come to grips on how it works, just know it does now!!My question is this: I need to buy 12 boxes of cat food (3 for £9) in Mr A which come to a total of £36, so do I a) just use what I have in cash in my 2nd purse and the balance from purse 1or b) buy it all from purse 1 and just pay back purse 2 the difference (£1.48) or 3 borrow from purse 1 and lend to purse 2 so I have enough cash there to pay for it all in total?
As you can see I am still not up to speed on the wherefors of 2nd purse, but now that it works? Hopefully now that I am all on one system (ie, cash only) it'll become clearer as the month progresses.
Mothership - just to let you know that I used pork mince which I bought from another internet company at Christmas (before finding DR) and made mince and potatoes and spag bol and I have to say both dishes were the best I have ever made. Not sure whether it was because it was good quality mince (usually have only bought SM ones) or whether because it was pork (have only ever used beef mince before). Just thought I would let you know as I know you were having doubts about the pork mince the other day:DWhen you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying!:rotfl:

Hi MinniMuncha Thanks for your kind words.
I'm sorry to all if I brought the mood of the board down
Regarding your purse dielema, I don't think it matters which route you take, as long as it is clear to you, if that makes sense. Personally, I would go for 3 and give second purse an advance - think I would find it easier to reconcile at a later date (I'm still in a pickle after buying from main purse a few weeks back) But that assumes you have the extra to spare in your grocery budget.....
Which cat food is that on offer, btw?

Polkadot - well done for overcoming your fears :j. I became scared of driving in my 20s and it took me a couple of years to overcome it.
Helenpie - such a shame you are having a rough time at work with an annoying boss . Just be sure to always put your health first as that's the most important thing.Pay debt in 2012 #278 £2347/£5364

Helenpie - You haven't brought the board down so, please do not apologise;) - that is what we are here for, to help and support, money related or not (not sure MSE bods will see it like that but hey ho, that's life:rotfl:)
I think option 3 is most probably the best way forward. I will have £183 in cash (AF's and DR's deliveries due tomorrow:T) so only really need to get fresh fruit from L*dls, and bread and milk for FFoods, so by the time I have brought everything back from Munnimart, I will have paid back purse 1:D. I know you say do what is most clear for me, but tbh it is still a bit foggy in the world of 2nd purse atm:rotfl::rotfl:
ps sorry, so busy chopsin, that I forgot to mention the cat food - it is F*lix Good As It Looks pouches as that is the only cat food my cats will eat (fussy bu**ers) and it is normally £4.38 a box, so comes in at £3 per box if you buy 3 boxes - hthWhen you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. My 10kg of oats and 3kg of lovely luxury tropical organic Suma museli arrived todayaccording to the OH Mister delivery man wasn't best pleased wohahaha. Oh and the e-reader has turned up too
Going to charge £1.50 a kg for the oats, and £4 for 500g museli as that's what I'd normally pay otherwise
E-reader will be paid for monthly on tick by putting an additional £10 pcm into the 2nd purseAlthough I owe the 1st purse £74 still, so that will be reduced first.

That's great. I had a feeling it was you that mentioned it when I was explaining the Mr M offers on it. I may have to make to drive to nearest Mr A at the weekend as that's what my cats eat, too. Thanks.HelenPie I hope you feel better soon.

Hi all sorry to have been MIA - I am self-employed so only work half days when it is school holidays but then I have to catch up the following week - hope I haven't missed too many bargains ! I am couponed out by the ssm coupons hope you have all been sharing your tips and getting the coupons to help stock your shops. I never did get chance to check my stock and get my spreadsheet up to date so my purses have got a little muddled but luckily I don't get charged any interest and I know it will all work out when I sit down and log everything
Hope you are all well0
