Visited a friend today and took a trip to her MrA on the way home.

Bought the Radox, Carex and Dove products (£10 total spend, £16 value to stockpile), plus some cheese strings on ys, 2 pks at £1.05/8, and some new chocowaffle cereal.

Went to Coop after school. They have Wi$pa Gold on offer at 34p so I bought 12 :o Plus 2 x 4 Twirl and 2 x 4 Caramel at £1/pk. Funny thing is, I've given up chocolate for Lent :rotfl:

The cupboard I've allocated in the kitchen is almost full! Will have to think about more storage.

    Current stockpile value - £124.70
    2nd purse total - £5.50

Polkadot - you must live near me - we should car share :D

  • People looking at printers, be aware that often they only contain a 'starter' cartridge that can hold a lot less than a 'proper' ink cartridge. That printer's a fantastic bargain if your existing printer has really expensive cartridges like Tyler's Mum (Lexmark are the dearest) but be wary if you're thinking of buying it just for the cartidges IYSWIM.

Well, peeps, I placed my DR order last night and I have 4 boxes coming from AF later  It's a little extreme, but it does include huge amounts - 4 x 3.5k bags - of white bap mix (OH loves it), 3.5k carrot cake mix, 3.5 chocolate cake mix, and 3.5k pizza base mix. The mixes work out cheaper than buying the separate ingredients by a considerable margin. I also bought 4 tins of biscuits, so my order looks like it is crammed with treats but in fact I have a health condition meaning I have to keep an ultra low fat diet, so none of it is for me I promise ;) The 250 bags of Special K snacks on the other hand... well, some of those will go my way :rotfl: but I have sold some of them to colleagues at a small - but significant - profit :T

Some of the cake mix and biscuits will be taken to work next week as it's my birthday shout - we have a big office and I've known people spend over £30 on cakes to bring in on their shout

Also 15l UHT milk (we don't use fresh), 5kg spaghetti at £1/kilo and lots of Ainsley Harriott couscous, which is perfect for me as I can actually eat it! It's 12 sachets for 99p as it's six double packs. Single packs are usually up to £1 each in the supermarket, although I usually buy them when they're 2 for £1 so that's what I'll charge myself.

Anyone hesitating to buy from AF I really would look again - you can get tons delivered for the money and I work out what the item will cost with delivery so I don't get stung. You can also look and see how much weight you've got left before it goes up again, so you can pack your boxes to maximise how much you get for your money (this is what I did with the spaghetti).

Anyway, I think I've blathered on enough for today eh. :rotfl:
  • HelenPie, I hope you feel a little brighter today (((hug))) Let us know how the doctor's went!

I forgot to tell you a funny story. A few days ago at work a colleague was crying at her desk so I offered her a tissue. Except I'm too tight to buy tissue, I have a loo roll instead :o Anyway her tears immediately turned into laughter. When I asked her why she said she'd just visualised me climbing my 90-roll tower of Ann Drex to pluck a roll of it down for her. Maybe you just had to be there, but I was glad it cheered her up anyway.
  • Morning all, I gave in and made an AP order. Similar to scrabbles I bought lots of cous cous (had no idea they were double packs, I order 3 cases of each!) luckily we like them and it's quick easy lunch on the go. Bought lots of naan breads and popadoms (somehow 10 managed to get into my basket instead of the 6 I ordered and not realised until after paying). Also picked up a bap mix and pizza base mix as it seemed quite good, along with orange jelly for dd. Jars of sauces etc so at least we have some back up essentials. I said to hubby if nothing else we have a small stockpile of essentials that would have cost alot more at the supermarket. Not really understanding the delivery charges but pleased enough.

Off to get some steak and drinks for a yummy dinner tonight, does anyone know any good offers on steak as my DR order wont be here for a week?
