I love Lidl's clothes conditioner, called "doussy". The white one is my favourite

...Even after my clothes are dried and in my wardrobe, I can smell the perfume on my clothes for a long time afterwards
I have enough difficulty drying clothes without adding conditioner into the mix!

For me, it's one of the worst aspects of winter :o

I'd echo that - and add the beetroot in 'vinegar' too.

All the Aldi pickled products use a water/acetic acid mix instead of malt vinegar for cheapness. That would be fine if it didn't affect the flavour, but it does. Pickled products are one of the few Aldi food areas that we avoid altogether.
Thanks for that, didn't know what the difference was but found the Bramwells Pickled beetroot really sharp. I thought that they added less sugar than the others. Sadly, now one of the few items we don't buy in Aldi.

Likewise. I really loathe buying brands (utter waste of money normally) but we do buy Baxters beetroot for the superior vinegar they use. Not a lot more when it's on offer.

:rotfl:Not to worry! I will have to stick to frozen green beans unless I cook them in one go (like your great suggestion!)

I've just checked the packaging of the current pack of green beans I've got and they've been imported from Egypt. A few are starting to turn black despite being within date. Maybe it's a lesson to only buy seasonal vegetables from UK.

If you like Ferrero Rocher chocolates then try Noccolia from Aldi. They are a lot cheaper and I think they taste the same. The only difference is the chocs are not wrapped in gold paper;)

and the operetta chocs from marks and spencers look suspiciously like the Aldi ones!!

Have just flicked through the latest Lidl online leaflet....full of Christmas delicious-ness but nothing stands out as being particularly good value compared to the weekend deals, or even usual prices (cheese).

  • Just popping in to say that Aldi's sable grapes are amazing I think they're £1.99 and they're absolutely delicious, taste like turkish delight to me!

Just treated myself to an Aldi SS mince pie (rude not to). I was deliberating the enjoymant vs calorific value of the pastry on top, but it came off in my hand anyway so the decision was made for me: straight in the bin.
