    Was Aldi in today to pick up one of the slow cooker's and some chocolate eclairs fell into my trolley? The toffee kind not pastry. They are just 27p for a 170g bag and are quite yummy.
    Booo!!!

    Yes they seem to be back to the original supplier thank goodness. When they changed to the purple wrappers they were horrendous and almost pulled your teeth out they were so gluey. What a relief when they reverted to the original wrappers and, I presume, original supplier! The glove compartment in the car is now stuffed full of them again!

    Two really good buys from Lidl today;
    Sol & Mar "Fuet Extra" Spanish pork salami 170g, 79p.
    Ground coffee - Bellarom Gold 100% Arabica 500g down in price to £2-49.
    :j:j

    ( The Ballarom ground coffee is imho VERY similar to German "Jacobs" ground coffee.)

    I visited an Aldi today, not been in that store for 8-9 weeks and it was colder inside than outside. Seeing my breath when I spoke to one of my regular customers from work.

    The staff's lips were blue.

    Ours was better today but same here in recent weeks. They seemed to have air con going even when the weather has changed.

    Why don't you stop shopping in Aldi as you do nothing but complain!

    The staff in my store never complain because it keeps them cool when rushing around to stock shelves.

    And I for one welcome a cooler ambient store temp whist shopping.

    I did wonder about that.

    To be fair, it was about 9:30pm, and I was the only customer, so I couldn't really expect them to be heating the place just for me.

    Tried Aldi "Both in One bread" this week just to see what it was like - very nice.

    And it's now the Aldi bargain bread at 49p for a standard sliced loaf.
