I have always assumed it is because too many people hit the "report this thread as expired" button , rather than the "post reply" button. They are right beside each other , and are both big blue buttons - bad website design0 -
Don't ever notice to be honest as I don't access the thread via the boards.0

I love the cream of tomato soup in Lidl. I have always been a fan of Heinz and any other brands I tried didn't come close.
I tried the Lidl brand and found it to be excellent. Even Heinzier than Heinz.0 -

... especially as the "Post Reply" button is normally in this position. They should swap the buttons.0 -

I agree and usually make 2-3 different varieties of soup per week in winter. This week I've got roasted red pepper & sweet potato soup (sweet red peppers were on offer in Aldi last week) and broccoli & apple soup on the go. I've also got enough veg in to make potato & leek and a spicy parsnip soup next week. Very little effort for fantastic and healthy results :T0 -
My favourite is ham and pea soup but broccoli and apple hmmmm now that sounds interesting may well give that a go.0

It's very tasty! It makes quite a thin soup so if you prefer your soup a little thicker then add a diced potato.
I remove the florets of a whole head of broccoli and leave to one side then chop up the stem to saut! in a little butter with an onion and 3-4 chopped cox apples (I leave skin on). Season with S&P, add a litre of veg stock and simmer for 15-20 mins. Add in the broccoli florets and simmer another 5 mins before blending.0
